Terrace with amazing views of the old town, the sea, the famous Castle Hill and its waterfall!
Spacious, bright, light, sunny, clean, comfortable, charming and uncluttered!
Best location in Old Town. All you need at your doorsteps! Ideal for 2!

The apartment is in best location, has stunning some of the best views from the terrace. It has windows on all 4 walls! It is sunny and bright! It is charming, clean, uncluttered and tastefully furnished. It is easy to manage and very easy to reach from the airport.

It is situated on the 6th floor with no elevators. Therefore not suitable for physically challenged persons. The apartment with is not suitable for small children. It's open space can be a hazard to their safety!

It is ideal for 2, or a family of max 4 (we do not accept children below the age of 7). Although, we do occasionally accept up to 4 close friends, who do not mind the lack of privacy in the apartment. The spacious feel of the apartment is due to its open space loft style. Therefore there is no part of the apartment, except for the bathroom, that is totally private. The upper loft is semi private with a double bed of 200x180 cm.

The apartment is spacious (50 m2 plus 19 m2 upper loft accessed through a fixed but narrow set of stairs. It is tastefully furnished (Scandinavian style) and is well maintained. It has a wonderful terrace with view of the Mediterranean Sea, red tiled roof tops of Old Nice, church towers, the famous Castle Hill called the Château and its waterfall.

The spacious and bright living and dining area is around 40 m2 and has four windows plus the terrace glass door on 3 walls, offereing views to the old town's roof tops, the dome of the Cathedral, numerous church towers, which are illuminated at nights, views of the mountains, etc. There is a very comfortable sofa-bed for two (160x200) plus comfortable armchairs. Up to 6 persons can sit at the dining table.

The apartment has additional sleeping facilities on the low ceiling mezzanine/upper loft level. Here you'll find a low double bed with two mattresses of 200x90 cm. each, 200x180 cm. total. An extra regular size single mattress is also available. Here you will find a closet. many shelves, a telephone and the TV. The mezzanine/loft has a large window and a portable (very heavy) air conditioner for use only in the loft area. Please note that there are no walls, barriers or enclosures on

A double door opens to the terrace, where the sun is shining from morning until the sun sets over the mountains. 4-6 persons can sit on the terrace.

The kitchen is separate and is well equipped with fridge/freezer, combi-oven, two burner gas stove and a Miele washing machine. There is a toaster, coffee machine and el-kettle.

From the separate toilet and shower there is spectacular view of Old Nice and the Sea!

A 20 mins bus ride along the scenic coast line of Nice takes you directly from the airport into the the edge of the old town. Here are bus connections to exciting destinations such as Cannes, Saint Tropez, Monaco, Vence, St. Paul de Vence and many more destinations for a very reasonable fare. The apartment is less than 5 mins walk from the bus stop (bus #52 and 98 from Nice airport) and the modern, efficient tram way.

The Old Town or "Vieux Nice" is the most popular area of Nice for tourists as well as locals. The apartment is situated at the heart of the Old Town with buildings dating back to Medieval times. Rue Droite, where the apartment is located, has many art galleries and restaurants including one Nice's highly rated, very cozy family and cheap (15 euro for a three course dinner) restaurant called Chez Palmyre (early booking is highly recommended, especially for dinner). It is next to Place Rosetti with the its cathedral, the fountain square, cafés and restaurants and Nice's most famous ice cream shop, serving more than 150 flavours.

Promenade des Anglais, the beach and the Mediterranean Sea are only 5 mins walk from the apartment. The famous Cours Saleya with its daily flower, fruit and vegetable market and weekly antique market lined with restaurant and cafés is only 2 mins walk away from the apartment. The center of the city of Nice with its top French department stores, boutiques, museums, antique shops and more is only 10 mins walk from the apartment.

Our apartment is the ideal holiday get away for a couple or close friends. It is not suitable for small children.

The apartment is on the 5th floor without elevator and is therefore not suitable for the physically challenged.

The apartment is equipped with guest bed linen and towels for up to four persons. If you don't bring your own linen and towels there is a fee of 25 euro (35 euro if you are more than two persons) for our cleaning lady to take care of it unless you wash, dry and iron it yourself.

mobile:+ will welcome you at the apartment. She will show you the apartment, explain a few things, answer any questions you may have and give you the keys. Anne-Marie speaks French. She speaks and understands little English. She is extremely helpful and is used to receiving guests from all over the world, but if you have any problems communicating with her, please call us from our telephone in the apartment and we will answer your questions.

When you come to the main door at 32 Rue Droite you will have to push the "A-Z" button several times for our name "Friis" to appear. Then you have to push the "Appel" button.

Please contact/email us when you know your flight schedule/expected arrival time so we can coordinate with Anne-Marie.

The door to our apartment can be a bit tight to open. You need to pull it towards you while you turn the key and then push it a bit hard.

Always have the keys on you when you leave the flat. And never leave the key on the door from inside. If you do so, you won't be able to unlock the door from outside.

My husband, Johan, are based in Copenhagen. We travel a lot, especially to Nice where we have our holiday apartment. We have lived for many years in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Tallinn, Jeddah and Tehran.

We enjoy dining out and discovering good restaurants, visiting museums and art galleries, watching good quality films, following new trends in interior design and architecture, going to cafes, dancing and travelling.
