Lovely lovely B&B! We were in town for a wedding and instead of booking a hotel room with all the guests we wanted something quaint and private. Couldn't be happier. The room was perfect, has an adjoining sitting room and the bed was soooo comfortable. Firm mattress with cozy soft sheets and comforter. Shower was also good. Breakfast was delicious and Shona is very welcoming and easy going. We spent a few minutes in the backyard which is also beautifully landscaped and offers a tranquil retreat. Loved it!!

We spent a relaxing and comfortable weekend at Shona's Kia Ora bed and breakfast and surrounding Niagara on the Lake! Upon arriving, we were greeted, informed about best kept secrets, received info about dinner reservation considerations, and left to the privacy of our lovely suite (Stuart Suite). Shona was an absolute delight, and the breakfasts were delicious!

We did a last minute booking with Shona and she was very accommodating for us and our schedule. We loved the Stuart Suite, a very private, comfortable and spacious bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Shona was friendly and hospitable and we would definitely stay with her again on a future trip to NOTL.

I think this quaint B&B, built in 1850, is exactly what a B&B should be. Adorable, wonderful bedding, delicious breakfast, and a fun, informative hostess. To top it off she let us use the bikes to tour an amazing wine country. Great experience.

General Description
KIA-ORA (formerly Acute Bed & Breakfast) was built in 1836, which adds to its beauty and ambiance. We have three suites all with master bedrooms, sitting rooms and modern three piece bathrooms. Your meals can either be served in our spacious dining room or on our wonderful two tiered deck. However, if privacy is what you crave we will endeavor to meet your special needs.
It's a short walk or bicycle ride (bikes provided) to the majestical downtown of Niagara-on the-Lake which has often been referred to as one of the prettiest towns in Canada.
Whether you crave the theater (world famous Shaw Festival) a game of chance (visit Niagara's casinos) golf (close to dozens of courses) or a pearl for the palette (you are in the premiere wine country of Canada) Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Niagara region have it all. Share our home and share our friendship, you’ll definitely not be disappointed.
Kia-Ora is Maori for Welcome! - a friendly New Zealand greeting. Here our motto is "You never really leave this place... you just go home for a while."

Breakfast
Breakfast may be served in our dining room, two-tiered outdoor deck or if requested in a private setting.
Start your day with a hot cuppa coffee, special brewed teas and assorted juices. Toasts, muffins, fresh fruit and cereal compliment home cooked meals that are in a variety of styles, English, European or simply Continental. Each day will lead to a new delight so grab the paper or your favorite novel, sit back and let us pamper you.
