The River Cabin is a rustic log home dating from the 1930s. The property includes hundreds of yards of frontage on the Greenbrier River as well as 140+ acres of woods, wildlife and natural beauty. The area offers antiques, whitewater rafting, exquisite scenery, historical & cultural attractions. The cabin itself has been updated for a bath and kitchen. The big screened porch overlooks the Greenbrier River. Once you check in, you'll have the place all to yourself until it's time to leave.
The cabin is strictly non-smoking. No cigars, cigarettes, pipes, e-cigarettes or "vapes" are allowed, ever. No open flame is allowed in the cabin, so please don't bring incense or candles. No outdoor campfires or grilling are allowed, either. NOTE: There are hurricane lamps in the kitchen in the event of a power outage. The rules about open flame and smoking are absolutely non-negotiable. Other than that, please relax and enjoy yourself.

I am a lover of Nature, a couch-potato bird watcher, a fiber artist, professional pickle maker (yes, there are such people). I grew up in the Appalachian foothills and have an abiding love of the mountains in this part of the country. Pleasures include cooking contests, museum tours, garden shops and reading just about anything. Reading on a porch is even better.
