This ranch house is on my 300 acre farm/ranch and was built in the early 50's by my grandparent's. A unique chance for a family or individuals/individuals to experience "country" living and still get coffee on the town square 9 blocks from the front door.
A safe place for both world's of a small W. Texas town with it's private land along with friendly small town advantages. It has 260 acres of ranch land out the back door that leads to a creek that runs through the place and is ideal for private hikes, mountain biking or whatever one chooses i.e. painting, writing, sculpting, meditation, stars, sunset/sunrise watching etc. etc.
Because of my travels for the first time (my grandparent's came in a covered wagon here in the 20's) I am opening the place up for rental.
It is unlike anything else you will find and is a way to be on a ranch without being secluded in the back country. Basically the NW part of Snyder Texas envelops around the place with the front door being in town and the back door in the country. The best part being the back door as it is all private land. If someone is looking to bring their family and write and create or enjoy life in a small unpretentious W. Texas setting? This is it.
For instance the local library is down this street 8 blocks towards the town square.
I have numerous vehicles and would be willing to discuss use of one of those as well. Since this is my first time please forgive me for not knowing the "drill" but I assure you I will do what I can if you decide this may be a place for an extended stay. I have other houses on the property where I sometimes stay that do not interfere with this house. The local preacher "Brother Dave" and his wife live across the street and a nice family live next door that very much stay to themselves or glad to offer a hand if needed.
This would be one of the friendliest albeit busiest towns in all of W. Texas because of the oil and wind energy booms and welcomes all people.
P.S. I should add there is a new central heating and air system along with two wood burning interior fireplaces and plenty of mesquite wood from down at the creek.
