Description

The Stone House, found in an old rural village, has been fully restored and preserved by Giuseppe, who added objects and mementos brought back to life thanks to its art. It will be part of your journey to discover and enjoy them.

Situated only 5 km from Lucca and 14 from Pisa, our house is the oldest in the "Corte Checco" courtyard, at the end of the street. It was built in the early 1800s and over the last few years we have carefully and slowly restored it, paying particular attention to its original style and recycling old stone and old wood wherever missing and adding some collected "pieces" from our travels (which make the place really unique)! The furnishings reflect our artistic and eclectic nature and create a very laid-back ambience far away from the bustle of the city. The three story house has amazing views of the surrounding valley and its lush nature and terraced olive groves. There are plenty of walking trails starting just behind the house where you can explore the countryside in total peace and off the beaten track! Outside there are two terraces where you can enjoy drinks, meals or just resting under the sun listening to the birds sing. The villa can host up to 8 people and has two parking spots. There are two double bedrooms on the third floor; the second floor has one double bedroom, one complete bathroom and a living room with 2 extra beds. On the ground floor, you have a small bathroom, a completely equiped kitchen and a dining room with the original fireplace.
The neighborhood in "Corte Checco" is very friendly and the neighbors are available for whatever favour you may need. Each morning in "Corte Checco" the baker comes with his van and on request can prepare quiches or cakes for your breakfast or lunch and arrange some special requests with the pastry shop down the street. On the main street, just 200 mt down, you'll find the bus stop with service to the city centres of Pisa and Lucca and all the services of the village: the post office, the bar pastry shop, the newsstand, the local butcher, the fruit and vegetable shop, a coiffeure and a launderette. Just 4 km away, at the entrance of Lucca, you'll also find a big supermarket and many other services. Finally, we just love our place and would be happy like to share its comforts and uniqueness with others!!

Giuseppe E Lucie

Giuseppe was born in Sicily and Lucie is french. Presently, we are living in Paris where we work as interior designer and material scientist. We love meeting truth people and making our place their sweet home too. While Giuseppe cooks Italian Food amazingly and reveals anything into an "opera d'arte", Lucie's philosophy is "be ready for anything in the next minutes, it is going to be fun!".
