A ground floor apartment on a slope, surrounded by green plants and a garden with lemon trees. The place is cool in summer and warm in winter. A lovely courtyard invites to sit outside. Rather quiet area, 10 min to the center. Supermarket & Pizzeria 2 min away.
I want you to feel at home and very welcome, but of course with mutual respect and mindfulness.

Hi, I am Renate, from Hamburg. Germany. I first discovered Crete in 1980 and immediately fell in love with the place. In 1991 I decided to move here permanently. What I like here: the nature and the people are really amazing, very hospitable. After so many years on the island I speak Greek, German of course, English and some French. My hobbies are working in my garden - which is also a nice place for a morning coffee - and photography. I know the island rather well. Rethymno- in my opinion - is the best place to stay, more picturesque than Iraklion and smaller than Chania. It has a very nice old town with a fortress and a labyrinth of small lanes with shops, tavernas and also still untouched parts as in the old times. Rethymno has long beaches, starting off in town and stretching out to the east and the west for kilometers. The town's location on the island is rather central, which makes it a great starting point for exploring. In about an hour and a half you get to Iraklion, Chania or the Messara valley and Matala on the south coast.
The island's beauty is often highlighted by strong contrasts, rough mountains, beautiful valleys, the blue sea against the snow capped mountains. - Ah, and I don't do , sorry!
