Our stay in Helen's caravan was wonderful! the caravan was super cosy and every little detail been thought of. Blankets and git water bottles were provided and everything we needed to make a hearty breakfast and plenty of cupa of tea. Even though it was late October the temperature in the van was OK and the hot water bottles gave us ample heat for the night. The location of the campsite is ideal for walkers and close to the train station if you want to explore further. I would thoroughly recommend Helen's place and look forward to visiting again in the future!

Highly recommended, hosts are very friendly and this is a great location for getting into the nature. Caravan was extremely cosy and well appointed, if you're used to staying in a tent (as we are) then this is luxury!

Such a beautiful little place. Gorgeous views all around as well. The milk and eggs and cookies were a great touch. Very cosy inside, enough blankets and hot water bottles to keep warm even in October. So glad there were phone chargers! And the kitchen was equipped enough to cook a meal. The toilets were very clean. And loved the fact it smelled of roses. Helen was also always very quick at replying to messages and very welcoming. We used the map and the playing cards as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here and were impressed by how clean and welcoming the caravan is and the attention to detail- herbal teas and milk and eggs being kindly left for us to use. We did imagine that the caravan would be in a more private space and wondered how it is when the site is really busy. we were lucky as there were only one or two campers each night , even so, as there is only one shower in the girls loos, I still had to wait to get a shower in the morning! Helen was super friendly and welcoming and it is a great base to explore the area. We were slightly put off by all the old equipment which can be seen from the caravan, but you can look beyond that to the hills which is great when having a brew. Loved the games in the caravan and the thoughtfulness of putting a radio in there. For a few nights it worked really well, but I am not sure if i would want to stay in the height of summer unless the caravan was in a different location.

Me and max had such a fantastic time in Helen's vintage caravan! Having only been together two years and aged 23 I was worried that we might hate being cut off from the digital world, but having no wifi or signal was wonderful!! Helens thoughtfulness to add additions such as the playing cards, the radio and the really fantastic selection of kitchenware made it so easy for us, which is good because we are planning on backpacking around Vietnam in March, and if we had hated this trip we may well had had second thoughts by now! And we will certainly be taking playing cards with us. If you want wifi you could always a very short walk into Edale to the lovely Nag's Head which does have good wifi, and local ales! However we are both seriously considering moving out of the city and into the countryside in the future, as the scenery and tranquility was something we really enjoyed. In the meantime we are safe in the knowledge that we will hopefully rerurn to Helens caravan in 2017 to get our fix! Helen was wonderful and has done such a beautiful job of the interior. We were very sad to leave, not only the caravan but the lovely goat that lives in the next field who was very cute. Thanks Helen! :)
