My husband and I are founders of the HeartWell Institute - a nonprofit, urban retreat center that hosts diverse wellness workshops, retreats, trainings and classes. We seek to maintain a peaceful and positive environment so that all our guests feel relaxed and at home. The first floor of the house is dedicated to HeartWell and our programs. During your stay, we may be hosting programs/events. The second and third floors have beautiful rooms that are reserved for retreat or Airbnb guests.
This private room is on the third floor of the house and comes with a full-size bed, desk and chair working nook, window AC, fresh linens and towels, and plenty of closet/bureau space. There is a full bathroom on this floor, which may be shared with guests from the other room (if occupied).
Although the house is set approximately 150 feet back from Pleasant Street, vehicle sounds can be heard.
The bathroom has all the essentials you will need (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toilet paper).
Please no children under 6 years of age
Accès des voyageurs
Upon registration, you will be given the entrance code for the backdoor entrance. Please use this entrance to come and go, as our clients and program guests typically use the front door entrance. The backdoor is also easier for unloading/loading and has direct access to the stairs.
Since this is a large house, there may be other guests present during your stay. Please only access the following rooms: Your bedroom, the bathroom on your floor, the half bath on the first floor (if necessary) and the common sitting area on the second floor. Please note that you may be sharing a bathroom with other guests on your floor if those rooms are also booked.
We welcome you to free coffee and tea. Feel free to use the fridge/microwave in the kitchen or to eat. No cooking is allowed but you can use our plates/bowls, cups and utensils.
If there are no programs/events happening on the main level, you may use the dining room to eat as well. We also welcome you to sit outside at one our picnic tables (weather permitting ☺).
If you need to do laundry during your stay, we have a laundry room in our basement.

New England is one of the most beautiful areas in America with much to see and do. We are an hour away from Providence, RI. ,Hartford, CT, Brattleboro, VT, and just 50 minutes to downtown Boston. We look forward to hosting you and providing you with a unique New England experience.
My husband and I host visitors to Worcester from many parts of the country and the world - I have spent time in Japan, India, Burma and Nepal, where I lived for three years. We have created a beautiful and welcoming environment at Heartwell because we are drawn to a contemplative and meditative life, and know how important it is to find such a place when away from our own home. We hope you enjoy it here and we look forward to meeting you.
With warmth, - Zayda & Bob
