My name is Camilo Martinez Finlay. Born 8 September in Stockholm, Sweden , but Cuban in body and soul.
I studied graphic design, which accounts for my love for art, especially painting post impressionism, Renaissance covering the period of European art history between the art of the Middle Ages and the Baroque.
After a car accident in 2000, which resulted in a paraplegia due to a fracture in the spinal cord , I decided to rent several rooms of my house, which I've been doing for over 16 years, for several reasons:
1) Meet new friends and learn from them and see life from different perspectives.
2 ) Raise money to give a contribution to the medical center for spinal cord research.
3 ) Raising money for my basic needs.
My legs do not hold today , someday they will again, luckily I have my wheelchair which helps me move from one place to another , and so living , learning , loving , laughing and crying in this world are the reasons to keep on living unforgettable moments.
My life runs along the fields enjoying freedom, my eyes walking down your face looking for a smile, and my brain beats any track-and-field champion enjoying the fact of being alive and able to appreciate so many things ... and especially to see the love of my life grow, my son Marcos... and taking another step , my imagination flies everywhere on earth.
I hope you decide to visit and meet Havana and its charm.
