À propos de ce logement
The Cottage adjoins Woodend Barn and offers comfortable self catering accommodation for up to six people. This makes it suitable for one or two couples or a family of four, five or six.
Woodend Cottage is quite remote and situated in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.
Through the front door you enter into the lounge with log burner and exposed beams, views towards Scafell Pike and a door that leads to the utility room, downstairs WC and kitchen.
Stairs lead from the lounge to a landing, off which there are the three bedrooms. The master is a double, the second can be configured as either a double or a twin (please confirm when booking how you would like it set up) and the third is a twin (with adult sized bunks). There is also a bathroom.
Most rooms have exposed beams and all are furnished with care and thought.
Located quite high on Birker Fell (950') and approached from the fell along a single track road through a gate, it has fantastic views across the fell towards Scafell Pike, (England's highest mountain), and is a ten minute walk from one of the smaller of the lakes, Devoke Water, which never the less is nearly a mile long.
The kitchen and garden have incredible views towards Scafell Pike, Bow Fell and Crinkle Craggs. Within twenty minutes walking you can be at the top of Devoke Seat where, on a clear day, you have a 360 degree panoramic view that includes Devoke Water, the Langdales, the coast and the Isle of Man.
Accès des voyageurs

I have fond memories of my holidays, the places visited and in many cases the years that I took them so we feel that making peoples holidays memorable is a prime responsibility. Most of our time is spent at Woodend working at home in this stunning location with this small collection of quirky individual cottages to look after. Other than that I enjoy live music and jointly organise our regular local live music event every 2 months, Music in Ulpha. When we do make time to get away we like to travel abroad or explore the UK in our caravan.
