Thank you Thor. Our family had a blast! The cottage was comfortable & well stocked for everything we needed. The dishwasher was an unexpected plus. I liked the privacy & quiet setting of the property. We had no problems. Citronella candles helped a lot! We hope to return. Thanks again!

Overall a fun 3 day weekend experience! What we liked about this place: fully stocked kitchen. Washer/dryer next door. Outside patio dinning and charcoal grill. Quick 1 min walk to the lake with a community fire pit, wood provided. Ambient lighting outside after sundown. Close to grocery store. The host was available via phone and a house keep onsite. Clear instructions are provided for checkin/out. The cabin is smaller than what the photos show, however, there were 7 of us (4 adults, 3 kids). This place CAN accommodate 8, but 5-6 can stay comfortably. Obviously need to bring plenty of bug spray. The citronella candle we brought helped a bit. The check-out time is a bit early for us (11am). But I believe this can be arranged if a later time is desired. Overall great experience and will definitely stay again.

We had a great experience! The cottage is small, but it was clean and cozy and right next the water. Camp Willow is a very nice area, and it was a quick drive to Gruene.

This place is awesome! It is a pretty small house, but definitely enough room for 3-4 people. There were 2 of us staying here and we had a third guest on a few different occasions and there was plenty of space for all of us. The setting of the home is beautiful. There are 3 other cabins on the property. The yard is huge and a great space right on the Guadalupe River. There are some grills out back that we used for a barbecue and sat out by the river. It was an awesome time. Thor and Kyle, the owners are really nice people. Their families came and stayed on the property for a weekend and I can't say enough good things about these hosts. We so appreciate the hospitality and the setting of the property is amazing. There are 2 things to be aware of, the loft is about 4 feet tall, so fine for sleeping but if crouching is hard for you it would be tough to navigate. The other is the hot water availability. There was enough for 2 showers one right after the other, but if you plan on brining 8 people I would make plans so that y'all will have enough hot water. Thanks for everything Thor!

My wife and I along with our dog (yes this is a dog friendly destination) were welcomed warmly. This is a nicely secluded cabin area that's very convenient to all the things the New Braunfels area has to offer. We stayed in Cabin 1 and were very pleased with the accommodation. We needed a place to stay until our new home was ready to move into and Camp Willow proved to be a great transitional home. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our dog loved the area and we always kept her leashed and picked up after her as a courtesy to others (which I would encourage others to do). All and all, I would recommend Camp Willow as an ideal location for a small family or friends planning a weekend get-a-way. A big thanks to Thor, Randy and Bea.

No fuss, no muss weekend getaway to the lake. It isn't the Ritz, and is smaller than it appears in the pictures, but it was clean and the backyard and lake access made up for the lack of indoor space. Who goes to the lake to spend time indoors anyways? Looks like there was new bedding and bath towels too. The kitchen was small, but has all the basics you need to cook a meal. However, you'll need to bring all your own condiments, charcoal for grills, etc. Overall, a good place to stay if you're planning to use it as a home base to sleep/shower and then spend the rest of your time outdoors enjoying the lake or all that New Braunfels area has to offer. Thor, the owner, was helpful and called prior to my arrival to check in and let me know how to get into the cabin. There were kayaks available for use and the lake wasn't over populated by large boats as it was the off season. Overall, we enjoyed our simple weekend getaway.

Great place for a group of guys wanting to get away in the New Braunfels area. Very close to all the popular places to visit (Gruene, Landa Park, etc.), and the cabin is located along Lake Dunlap which is nice if you like to do some fishing or want to take your boat out. If you are looking for something clean, however, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Dead bugs, spider webs, stains on every cloth surface (rugs, couches, chairs, etc.). If my wife was with me, our luggage would have never made it inside. But since it was a group of guys hanging out for the weekend, we made it work. The upstairs loft is similar to what you'd see on the "Tiny House" episodes where you have to crawl to get around and get to the two other beds. Other than that, it worked for us and we had a great time.

Lived in Texas for past 21 years. Enjoy the outdoors and hanging out by the water with my family and two black labs.
