The apartment was cleaned on the day the guests arrived, but within 2 days, was described as being "in a state", with sand & mud throughout. They had been advised about using the outside shower - but chose to wash the heavy dirt & sand from their bodies in the bathroom, thereby blocking the drains. They ignored the "No Smoking" request & left butt-ends for others to remove. From day one, the guests said how happy they were (saying : "we love it here" ) & did not make one complaint - until their request for a refund was refused. They had to leave one day early as their flight/ferry had not been confirmed - no fault of ours. The happy tone turned to anger as she warned us about posting an adverse review. I suspect a refund would have resulted in a different outcome.
