Description

Walk (or bike) like a local through Denver's hottest neighborhoods from this centrally located, two bedroom, two story, turn-of-the-century brick townhouse. Features include: central air, high speed internet, patio, bikes, free parking, and cable TV.

This townhouse is on the border of Uptown, City Park West, and Five Points neighborhoods. The main bedroom has a new, memory foam queen bed and the guest bedroom has a new foam, full size bed.

I only rent my place when I am out of town, so you will have the place to yourself.

I have an electric keypad doorlock.

The basement is locked and off limits. The rest of the townhouse is accessible.

I travel a lot for work, and can be out of cell range at times. I will gladly help with recommendations.

Townhouse is pretty close (3 min walk) to City Park, which is great for morning strolls, and free jazz concerts (on Sunday evenings in the summer.) If you head south to 17th St, you'll find dozens of restaurants and bars. It's one of the best areas of Denver (some of my favs are listed below.)
Their is a Safeway grocery store four blocks to the west. There's also a Marczyk Fine Foods (gourmet grocery) fairly close.
Within walking distance:
- Beat Box Bakery and coffee (21st and Downing)
- Downing Street Liquors (21st and Downing)
- Kitchen Table Cafe (just east on 22nd)
- The Argyll (17th and Downing St.) (website hidden)
- Paxti's Pizza (website hidden) (17th and Franklin St.)
- Einstein Brothers Bagels (18th and Franklin St.)
- Starbucks (18th and Franklin St.)

Bikeable:
- The Horseshoe (website hidden) (dive bar on 20th and Logan St.)
- The Thin Man (website hidden) (bar on 17th near Race St.)
- Wahoo's Fish Tacos (20th and Grant St.)
- Ace (website hidden) (bar/restaurant on 17th and Pennsylvania St.)
- Stueban's (bar/restaurant next door to Ace and owned by same people.)
- Uptown Tavern (across street from Ace/Stueban's)

My place is about a 10 min bike ride to the following:
- The Denver Convention Center
- Coors Field
- 16th St Mall
- Union Station
- Confluence Park/REI
- Cheeseman Park
- Washington Park
- Civic Center Park
- Denver Art Museum

I'd recommend using my two cruiser bikes, as parking can be rough and traffic is no fun. Please use my cable lock and only park in designated bike parking areas.

You can also use Denver's "B-Cycle" program to rent bikes by the half hour. They have stations all over town: (website hidden)

I like to use Lyft (or Uber) when I don't feel like biking, or if it's bad weather.

There's also a RTD bus stop less than a block away.

The guest bedroom/office has just been updated with a new full size bed from Ikea.
The master bedroom has a new memory foam queen bed.
The couch in living room is huge (over 7 feet long) but does not fold out.
I also have an inflatable bed (twin size) with built in electric pump.
The coffee table has caster wheels and is easily moved to the side.

Surrounding...
There's a liquor store less than a block away called "Downing Street Liquors". They have a pretty decent selection of beer, wine, whiskey, and other spirits.
Next to liquor store is Beat Box Bakery, which has incredible pastries, sandwiches, and coffee.
There's a 7/11 at 18th and Downing which is open 24hrs and is two blocks away.
Safeway grocery store is 4-5 blocks to the west, and is open until midnight daily.

Matt's place was great! Nice, relaxed urban location just a short distance from LoDo (~$10 uber). Plenty of places to check out within walking distance also. No private parking, but finding a place on the street was no issue, even over the holidays. Neighborhood seems friendly and safe. The interior is very welcoming and comfortable. All amenities were available and properly advertised; the beds were exceptional! Clear instructions and information about the area were a big help. Would gladly stay here anytime! Thanks again!

It was a great pleasure to stay at Matt's place. Yhe apartment was clean and nicely furnished with ample street parking and it's located in a great neighborhood. Communications with Matt was easy and fast. When i arrived there was a snow storm and he arranged for the steps and the side walk to be cleaned promptly. Highly recommended.

I'm originally from the Midwest, but lived in CA for a couple years before making my home in Denver. I've been to about 20 countries for work and for pleasure. I have a "travelers spirit" and enjoy meeting like-minded folk.
At present, I travel a lot for work as a surveyor for aerial imagery projects.
I'm into motorcycles, art, photography, architecture, beer, whiskey, longboarding, snowboarding, biking, hiking, and camping. I love exploring all the great restaurants and bars in Denver, and love giving advice on cool spots for you to check out!
