Private room/bathroom, private entry, beautiful view, safe, walk to beaches, and restaurants, but rental transportation is strongly recommended. Our cool north side location, is beautiful and serene. We are 38 year residents with great island insight. If you enjoy sun, sand, warm azure waters, and tropical breezes, book here.

A well appointed private room, with a private full bath. Coffee maker, fridge, your own entrance, assures you of privacy in a homey comfortable way. We supply beach towels, mask, snorkel and cooler. The covered porch view is one of the best in paradise!

Great room, porch, covered carport parking. Wanna snorkel? Grab the masks and snorkel and explore our beautiful reef....feed the yellowtail snapper at Coki Point...bring your Go Pro, you'll want pictures of your stay here!

Pam and I live in the house, and love meeting new guests, and introducing visitors to our Hull Bay Northside neighborhood!

Safe, private, cool by island standards, about 850 feet in elevation, with a view continuously described as breathtaking. Hull Bay is close to town, the airport, Meagan's Bay, and is on the cooler, quiet Northside of the island. Our beach is a few minute walk where you can dine, drink, and dance, or relax in the white sand.

We strongly recommend a rental car, but have had multiple week long guests that have elected to stay local. And for guests that stay 4 nights or more, we'll pick you up and drop you off at the airport.

If you are here on a day Pam bakes her incredible bread, you're in for a great treat (see our reviews).

This stay was absolutely amazing! Steve gave some great recommendations on places to go and food to eat. The fish tacos at Hull Bay Hideaway were fantastic! Pictures of the view don't do it justice. The view is breathtaking!

This review is actually for their other unit on site - a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a full kitchen and private entry/porch on the lower level of their home. It turned out Steve & Pam's daughters were visiting when I arrived so I got to stay in the 2BR downstairs, which was just perfect, although a little big for just one person. But, I enjoyed the opportunity to use the kitchen (fully equipped) and it was nice to turn on the TV for a few minutes before bed, even if not necessary. Regardless of which unit you stay in, Steve & Pam were great hosts. I didn't see too much of them, but when we did chat, they were both friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, sharing some good tips and directions with me. I borrowed snorkeling gear, beach towels and a small cooler, which came in handy at the beach. The view from their home is spectacular, although the drive up is not for the faint of heart, but I actually found driving on St. Thomas to be kind of fun once you get use to the hills and driving on the left. :) Also if you are prone to car sickness, you'll want to drive instead. The G.o.o.g.l.e. maps app on my phone worked well for navigation. S&P are located on the cooler Northside of St. Thomas, it felt secluded and quieter, but the island is not big so nothing was too far of a drive. Steve recommended the fish tacos at the Hull Bay Hideaway which really satisfied for dinner my first night. He also urged me to take the car ferry to St. John one day which wasn't on my original agenda, but I am so glad I did - it's so beautiful over there. Pam suggested Magens Bay beach before 8am, as there is no fee. It was great to be at this beautiful beach before the hordes of cruise ship passengers arrive. As a single female traveler, I felt very safe on STT/STJ. Also, regarding the reviews suggesting a higher clearance vehicle for the steep road and driveway, I rented a Nissan Versa and was fine, but perhaps with more people and luggage, a Jeep is better. Highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future! Great for a short, relaxing beach getaway.

Pam and Steve were amazing! They helped in providing suggestions for restaurants and activities and dropped us off in town to rent a car and also took us to the airport for our departure. Definitely an amazing place and view, with real serene and quiet atmosphere. Definitely renting a car there is super useful.

It's a really nice place to stay, it's up a very steep hill and a little hard to find but Steve and Pam were really good at giving you directions of where you need to go. A plus of going up that hill is the view, it's an amazing view. This place is highly recommend for sure.

I will have to say that I fell in love with St. Thomas while staying on the north side in Hull Bay. I've lived in San Diego, NYC, and will be moving shortly to Dubai so I get my fair share of crowds and tourists during daily life. Thus, I opted out of staying at the resorts and tourist-y areas. If you want an authentic experience, I highly suggest staying here. It's beautiful, peaceful, and the locals are super friendly and unbelievably helpful. I thought the local beach at Hull Bay was perfect. It was quiet, idyllic, incredibly photogenic, had great snorkeling opportunities, and an amazing sunset. Also, the beach bar Hull Bay Hideaway was pretty amazing in terms of food, drinks, service, and lively locals scene. I live in the West Village of Manhattan so I eat and drink at plenty of top-notch restaurants and bars, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Hull Bay Hideaway—truly a hidden gem. The regulars even taught me how to play dice with them so I felt like part of the crowd vs. being an outsider. The only thing to note is that public transportation is not readily available in this area and as the Virgin Islands are a mountain range, there are some serious hills to contend with when walking. If you don't mind a bit of exercise, it's totally fine and gives one the chance to check out the lush, indigenous landscape. I opted out of renting a car because I wasn't planning on roving around the island every single day. At night, I hitched rides with locals which sounds questionable; however, when you see how genuine and community-minded they are, it's not really a crazy proposition. Ultimately, I had spent 7 days at sea on a sailing trip with 9 crew members around the BVIs, so chilling out at Hull Bay for some R&R was the best move to cap off my vacation. Steve & Pam were wonderful hosts. They're very open, sociable, and have incredible knowledge about the island which made for very interesting conversations and about the history and current state of St. Thomas. They both helped me facilitate my activities on each day, which was very nice. Pam even took me on a hike that was both educational and fun! I felt like I was family in their home, like a niece visiting for a long weekend. It was comfortable and my bedroom with back deck offered amazing views and cool breezes. Also, my private bathroom was very spacious and beautiful. All in all, I certainly hope to come back very soon!!
