We are on a beautiful 3 acre waterfront property very close to the Fredericton International Airport. We are three minutes from the charming town of Oromocto and about 15 km from Fredericton, the capital city of Fredericton. We love our magnificent views, our private, treed property, and water access. We also enjoy the historical aspect of our home with an engraved fireplace (1892) and large rooms. We also recently acquired 3 nigerian dwarf goats. They are affectionate and sweet!

Le logement

It feels a bit like an English garden nestled on the banks of the St. John river. It is private, spacious, and vintage; a piece of the country in the city.

Guests are welcome to access the living room, dining room, and the kitchen. The bicycles ands kayaks are also for guest use and the gazebo or the dock is a great spot to relax and have a glass of wine.

I am available in the summer months if you need directions or recommendations of places to see, or places to eat. I know all the best local spots. There is also a farmer's market on Saturday mornings about 15 minutes from our house.

Autres remarques

There is no public transportation from our house to downtown Fredericton. You would need to use a taxi service which costs between $20-25.00.

The place are realy perfect. With an big garten. And enough kayak for free in the river. Shelley is super. Everything is possible and the area ar very quit. A lovely small dog . You musst see this location. We have also see the Eagle in a tree by the River. Thanks

Shelly's place offered the perfect getaway weekend I needed. Breath-taking view of the river, gazebo to enjoy the view, baby goats, and a beautifully decorated room and bathroom- if you're looking for a cozy place in the midst of nature, this is your home. Shelly was an incredible host- easy to talk to, accommodating, and helpful. She even made us breakfast in the morning! Highly recommend.

We are so grateful to Shelley for providing us with such a nice comforting, relaxing and interesting place to stay and recover from our long road journey. Shelley was quick to communicate and accommodating to all our needs. A lovely surprise was the wonderful tasty breakfast we enjoyed riverside in the gazebo. Tranquil the birds sang us a song as we relaxed riverside a truly memorable visit for our first visit to New Brunswick.

Best Airbnb experience ever! Shelley was such an incredible host, she even made us a hot breakfast in the morning with homemade granola, homemade warm muffins, eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit. The property is absolutely stunning and the room was beautiful. I'd highly recommend staying here!

What a gracious hostess. We feel like we have made a friend for life. The grounds on the river are magnificent. The guest room was spacious and very comfortable. The blueberry pancake breakfast was an unexpected bonus. Great area for taking a walk. We hope to return.

We had a very pleasant one night stay at Shelley's home. She was very accommodating of our needs. We have three dogs and arrived late in the evening. She waited up for us and spent some time helping us settle in. The next morning she was up and made breakfast and shared it with us. Her little dog Fudge was exceptionally accommodating of our three dogs. Beautiful house and beautiful location. There was a nice quiet walking trail close to the home which was very much appreciated given the long days driving.

I am an English teacher so I love, love, love to read! I also love my 150 year old house on the banks of the Saint John River just outside Fredericton, N.B. I do not enjoy winter, but my days for winter travel are limited to December and the March break, (since I have students to teach). I love to travel anywhere there is sunshine and beaches where I can relax, enjoy the view, and read. I also love to hike, bike, and kayak. My goal is to someday visit Europe, as I've only traveled in Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean so far.
My husband and I love meeting new people and have hosted people from places such as: Mexico, Brazil, Bangladesh, Japan, Austria, and of course, Canada.
I have three grown children: two sons and one daughter, a dog named Fudge, and a cat named Sassy.
