À propos de ce logement
Perfect spot to enjoy the sunset over our lake, sit by the outdoor fireplace, use the putting green & relax. Or walk to Baldwin Park shops & restaurants (0.8 miles)! Only 10 min drive to Park Ave/Rollins. 35 Min to Disney, 25 to Universal. Enjoy!
This adorable mother-in-law suite has lots of room to enjoy plus a fantastic shared backyard with an amazing view of Lake Spier (a very private quiet lake)! We have an incredible sunset most evenings, outdoor fireplace, putting green, hammock for that afternoon siesta and all the comforts of home. Upon arrival you will be greeted by some basics in your fridge such as OJ, Milk, cereal, and coffee/tea. All linens, towels, toiletries, plates, glasses and cutlery are set up for you to use. If you have any special requests please let us know so we can do our best to make you feel at home!
We have two twin high quality memory foam mattresses that can be configured as separate beds or as one large King Sized bed. (Please note that it is either 2 twin beds OR 1 king bed but not both). Additionally we offer the use of a queen blow up mattress that we can set up for you in the living space while still leaving plenty of room in the open floor plan.
We are on the back side of Baldwin Park right down the street from the dog park. Walk to all the restaurants and shops of Baldwin Park or go for a jog around Lake Baldwin. Only 10 minutes to Park Ave and Rollins College. 30 minutes to Disney. 18-25 Minutes to Sea World and Universal. We joke to family that everything worth doing is within 30 minutes (or less) of us!
Most Sundays we sit out on the back covered patio and watch football where guests are always welcome to join us, or you can enjoy your own patio area with separate extendable awning. Wi-fi and Direct TV with NFL package and HBO included. We apologize in advance if you hear us yelling in excitement over how well (or how horrible) the NY Giants play that day!
We also have another guest room with queen bed in our main house that can be rented if you need extra space (please send us a message to discuss availability and price).
The apartment has its own private driveway and side entrance. Two large vehicles can park in the driveway. The apartment is roughly 750 sqft with full kitchen minus an oven. The microwave is a convection oven which you can use for baking. Or if you need a larger oven you are welcome to use our main house oven.
It is very important for us to meet and exceed our guests expectations and we are very open to feedback. If there is anything you feel is not perfect we truly want to hear about it right away so that any issues can be corrected immediately.
Accès des voyageurs
Most times guests will be greeted on arrival and shown around. For cases where there is a last minute booking or arrival time conflicts with our schedules we have a lock-box key on property for you to access the property. We do have access to the Baldwin Park swimming pools and gyms upon request.

Kira and her assistant, Meshell, work from home in our main house loft so someone is usually around to address any concerns you might have.
We have a wonderful diverse group of neighbors who all really care about each other. This area used to be housing for the old naval base so the houses have a cute variety with charm to them. The huge trees everywhere also gives the area a unique feel. Baldwin Park was recently voted best place to live in Central FL.
While public transportation is available and within walking distance we recommend a rental car or uber/lyft. We use it all the time! You can also walk to the supermarket, restaurants, bars and shops which are a little under a mile away in Downtown Baldwin park.
We are pretty quiet people but we do have two pups who will bark from time to time and a third rescue hound who is very afraid of most people. If they hear bangs or a knock at the door they will bark. We also have two cats. This is an animal friendly place but we do keep everything professionally cleaned and have an added fee of $50 per pet per stay. Please be aware that if you have severe allergies to cats or dogs this could be factor.
Smoking is not allowed inside but you may smoke at least 20 feet away from the house provided you dispose of buds appropriately. We have 2 pups and 2 cats of our own so please be aware of any allergies to animals if you have any. We love animals and they are always welcome but we ask that if you have a pet that is aggressive towards other dogs please be sure you are careful to keep them leashed as our pups have a dog door and come in and out of the backyard as they please. It is your responsibility to ask us to keep dog door closed if you think there might be any altercation with animals. We charge a $50 pet fee for all stays (no matter what length) that can be paid upon arrival ($10 for each additional dog). Our dogs are very friendly but will bark at new people. Blue (with the blue eyes and white stripe down his nose) does not like to be picked up. Please let him smell your hand before petting because he is a rescue dog and needs to greet you to let his guard down. DO NOT PICK HIM UP! Odie is a hound beagle mix that you will probably never see as he is afraid of everyone new. Marlie, our lady dachshund is a little lover who you can pick up or pet as much as you like.
We like to entertain (no more than 10 people), especially during football season but will always let our guests know before having people over past 10:30pm. Guests are usually welcome to join us but we also want to respect our guests privacy. You may entertain at the apartment for a small group but we ask no more than 3 people stay per night. If you are too loud we may come knock on your door and ask for you to be more quiet after 11pm. Please do not turn thermostat down below 71 degrees as that unit cools the other side of our house as well ad will freeze. If you have a pet with you please keep them off the sofa and furniture and NO WET DOGS IN THE APARTMENT please:-) If we find damage caused from pets on furniture we may keep your security deposit. Help us keep it in great shape for others to enjoy.
Absolutely NO swimming in the lake and please keep your distance as this is Florida and gators can be found in ANY body of water. While we have never seen a gator we cannot predict wild animals. Keep pets out of the lake. Please be aware of your surroundings.

I am just like the people on HGTV... I flip houses for a living and I LOVE what I do. I buy distressed homes, fix them up, design them, and sell them to wonderful people!
I am married to a wonderful husband, Ryan. He and I are about to start a family soon but for now we have our other "babies"... two mini-dachshunds one hound beagle mix rescue and 2 cats. We LOVE animals and they are all very friendly. The beagle hound will not be seen while we have guests as he is afraid of new people.
I love to travel and have even lived in Australia for a few years.
