Furnished and thoroughly renovated 2-bedroom apartment -- both have large private in-suite bathrooms, and there is 3rd bathroom off the living room, with a large balcony at the corner of two of SP's main avenues: Avenida Paulista and Rua Consolação. Steps away from several subway and bus lines, and on the same block as the forthcoming Instituto Moreira Salles building, which will have a movie theater, bookstore, café and restaurant. Plus there is a 24-hour lobby with very reliable doormen.
This is a very special furnished apartment in a mix-use, primarily commercial building, which translates into utter silence from neighbors on evenings and weekends (all adjacent units are offices). In 2012 the apt was gutted and thoroughly renovated, including the addition of soundproof windows and walls in both bedrooms (which face Rua Consolação). American-style kitchen with a movable food-prep island and all the modern amenities, including several appliances brought from the United States (sink disposal, large Kenmore dishwasher, high-capacity Admiral/Maytag washer & dryer). Amazing water pressure in the two showers. The entire apartment receives a great deal of natural light. Ambiances are currently painted in different lively colors (as you can see in the photographs here), but these can be altered if necessary.
Accès des voyageurs
The entire apartment is becoming available again. It is fully furnished, including all kitchen utensils and cupboards (quality dishes, pots, pans, etc) as well as lots of closet space available in the suites. We can, however, negotiate what exactly stays in the unit. The apartment has a 26 foot-long balcony (8 meters) facing Avenida Paulista, with lovely views, at the corner of Rua Consolação (facing the fun and yummy Riveira bar & restaurant). There is a 'bike garage' in the building's basement and a sunroof on the 14th floor.

You'll have complete privacy, as I currently live in Rio de Janeiro. I will administer the apt from Rio, but my super sister lives in São Paulo and will be available to fix any necessary urgencies. She lives just a couple of subway stops away. (Note: the apt was rented to a couple since November 2015 (until recently, May 2017), and not one appliance has caused any trouble since then).
BEWARE: you will have fun at this apartment! ;-) You will want to entertain family and friends to share with them the vibrancy of Avenida Paulista and this location, as well as the apartment itself, which is very welcoming. You will witness first-hand many protests, parades and celebrations from the safety and comfort of your 3rd-floor balcony and windows. You will have a unique experience (which I miss greatly now that I live in Rio).
Pets are allowed. Smoking isn't encouraged, but is also allowed if necessary. And last but certainly not least: flushing toilet paper is allowed in this apartment (which foreign visitors will soon learn isn't usually the case here in Brazil). When I thoroughly renovated the apartment in 2012, this is one key area I fixed. Also note that the building has a generator for the main elevator (though it's only a 3-floor walk up) and very friendly and reliable 24-hour doormen who have been at the building for years. And a very trustworthy cleaning lady is also available for hire.

Professional in nonprofit management. 40 years old, went to college in the United States. Lived there for eleven years and moved to SP in 2006. Bought this apartment in 2010, gutted it and then thoroughly renovated it, with many American fixtures. Am moving back to the U.S. hence would like to (preferably) rent it fully furnished.
