I had a great time at Antje's she made me feel very welcome. Her cats and especially her two small absolutely lovely dogs also made me feel welcome. It was also great having use of the kitchen, were we were all able to express our culinary preferences ranging from simple pasta to elaborate currys. During my stay I met great fellow travellers from New York, Hanover, New Foundland and closer to were I'm from, Croydon. It was also a great treat having breakfast outside under a covered area in the garden. The neighbour was very pleasant and about 15/20 minutes walk to Bridgetown. It was an ideal location for the run Barbados event which I took part in. I hired a scooter for the week which was great fun and easy for me because Barbados and the UK have in common the fact that we drive on the lefthand side of the road. In common with London and New York people honk their horns all the time the difference is that in Barbados they do it largely as a friendly gesture or just because they are happy at least that's the only interpretation I could come up with. I was only in Barbados for one week, but I can't wait to go back. One thing I loved about Bridgetown was that you could talk to anyone and have a great conversation, even the few people begging for dollars were friendly. My Mum is originally from Barbados, and this was my first visit, so this for me was a kind of home coming.
