À propos de ce logement
Just renovated. Unusual space, airy, beautiful, under 15th century church with Raphael-school mural. Overlooks Lake Bracciano, one bedroom, a sleeping loft, terrace & modern kitchen. Convertible sofa in living room. Shower and toilet-bidet.
This is indeed a unique space, built heaven knows how many centuries ago -- at least six. The walls are about three-feet thick, and they've recently been stripped, revealing the original stone walls in parts of the house. A 15th century terra-cotta floor was also uncovered. Everything else is new: kitchen, bathroom, plumbing, electricity, appliances.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to all of the space except the loft above the bathroom.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I'll be available on line and via or telephone for any needed help. Someone will be hear to welcome you and show you around the house.
Since this is the "centro storico" you will be living close to your Italian neighbors. They are old friends and always willing to lend a hand. I'll be happy to fill you in further.
Please no smoking or pets. Otherwise, please just (gently) enjoy the rare beauty of the house and village.

A retired teacher and translator, I share my time between Italy and Brooklyn, New York. I can't live without reading -- history (usually American and French), biographies, some evolutionary biology, and great literature. Ideas matter to me, as does travel, especially to France and Ireland, and anywhere else I have friends. I like music and dance of most kinds. Good food is a must, one of life's most abiding pleasures. Yoga is important. Honesty in all of my dealings is essential. As a host I will be forthright and carry out my responsibilities to the best of my ability. Having enjoyed hosting and being a guest all my adult life, I know that the delicate rules of hospitality must be carried out on both sides. When they are, one's stay is always a pleasure.
