Camp Llarg is a new build apartment block on the road between Soller City and Port. Everything in the apartment is new and it has come on stream for letting in September 2015. The block enjoys easy parking, a lift and most importantly a beautiful outdoor pool.

The apartment is on the 1st floor and faces the back of the building, small balcony. There is no significant road noise in this location. A superior, comfortable space with Air Conditioning and Central Heating. Available all year.

This apartment is situated beween the City of Soller and its Port. It has a main road location with no main road noise as the apartment faces the gardens at the back of the building.

The swimming pool is at the entrance to the block and is surrounded by a hedge - you can't see the road and the road users can't see you in the pool.

Car parking allocated space is within the complex.
and right outside the front door - it simply couldn't be easier.

The balcony space from the sitting room and the bedroom is little more than ornamental. The space is not big enough to sunbathe from.

The location near Bar Stop and Sa Frontera mean that you have a great bar and lunch restaurant minutes from the apartment. A five minute walk takes you down toward Poetissa Fca Alcover where there is a great local bakery, an eco friendly local shop with great local produce, Karen the Hairdresser and a BIP Supermarket.

The history of this City is best told at the Museum of Soller which is located in a side street near the Post Office. The Museum shares the space with the memory of Maria Mayol Colom – a notable citizen of Soller who was one of the first feminist activists that Soller and indeed Mallorca had. She was a prophet without honour to start with but these days she is revered for her work in the education of the women of Soller. Wonderful stories exist telling of her role in teaching women to read and providing a 'women’s only library' in the days when libraries were only for men. How times have changed!

Soller is a City whose population is growing and achieving the expectations for the area that the opening of the Soller tunnel promised. Prior to 1997 the only way in to Soller was driving up the mountain and negotiating 57 hair pin bends or taking the electric train from Palma. These days the thirty minute drive to Palma means that people who work or go to school in Palma and the surrounding areas can still live in Soller. The time when it was a days journey to get to the centre of the island have now gone for ever.

Soller is the vibrant heart of the Soller Valley and houses its banks, schools, medical centre and main shopping street in the Calle Lluna. The Ferrocarril's electric train from Palma terminates here and the Soller Tram begins. The square in front of the church and Town Hall is where the rich tapestry of life is on display every day and particularly on Saturday's when the Market rolls into the City. Local people tend to meet in the square rather than entertain at home and so the place becomes an extension of their lives. The square is the focus for fiestas and celebrations, parish al fresco dining, weddings, children's play area and music. Sollerics love to dance and play the local instruments and the main performance area is – yes – you've guessed it in the square in front of the Church.

Soller is a café society and the days papers are read, events discussed, friendships made and broken all in that tree lined square. The focus changes a bit in the summer when the café society moves to the beach for a couple of months but even then they are back in the square come nightfall.

There are many tourist guides to the City of Soller which will tell you of its past glories, fine houses and the Museum of Modern Art that exists in Calle Lluna. This guide will do all that too but our aim is to introduce you to the real Soller which is full of the amalgam of people that make it such a dynamic place. We know that the readers of this are visitors, holiday makers, would be and existing residents plus many others who want to get into the soul of the place.

The first visit you should make after marvelling at Soller's centre is the walk up to the City Cemetery. The view over the valley from this place is extraordinary as is the place itself. It is a testament to all the eccentric people who have given so much to the place to make it what it is today. When you land in Soller you land in alternative universe and the cemetery puts it all into perspective.

The golden bowl of Soller welcomes you and encourages to stay a while or indeed for ever. Many before you have done just that and created a world full of beauty, friendships, music, oranges, sea, mountains, and culture in all its manifestations. All here in Soller for you - you are most welcome.

Fifteen to twenty minute walk to City Centre

Fifteen to twenty minute walk to the beach at Port of Soller

Five minute walk to the nearest TRAM stop

Seven minute walk to the nearest BUS stop

The Soller Train to Palma is a 20 minute walk from this apartment

The location - on the main road between Soller City and Port is a 15 to 20 minute walk into the Centre and 15- 20 minute walk to the Sea in the other direction. This is if you are young and fit. There are bus stops on this road and you can pick up a bus to the Port and onwards into Palma and Valldemossa from local stops. The Bus service timetable is printed on the bus stop - the service is approximately hourly.

To get a more specific idea of location look on the area map for Bar Stop, Sa Frontera Restaurant and Son Angelats Swimming Pool. These three great places are minutes from the apartment and will give you a feel for where you are.

Ants and the Mediterranean are a fact of our life. The grassed area round our lovely swimming pool is regularly treated but ants come and visit us often. We always suggest that guests do not lie on the grass but on the sunbeds provided.

Our host met us on the day of our arrival, she was punctual and polite. The flat is as you can see in the photos, modern and comfortable. The block of flats was quiet, it was good that the apartment was facing the back of the building, away from the busy road. It is a nice walk to the town centre, Sóller, it took us about 10/15 min. We didn't walk to Port Sóller, that would have been a bit longer but also doable.

I am a communicator of the Soller Valley. I believe passionately in the exchange of information both in the history of a place, its people and the events that occur. In my opinion shared information creates friendships, enhances experiences and makes the world an interesting place to live.

I relocated to Soller as part of a three generational relocation almost ten years ago. Prior to that we had a holiday home on the Repic Beach in the Port of Soller and enjoyed more and more time here before making the move. We were not novices of the Valley - indeed we knew it well but we still struggled for information about events and happenings. I always knew that one day I would be part of the solution to communicate to those that want to hear the story of the Hidden Valley and what goes on here on a daily basis.

I came here from London where my career in Hotels, New Homes Sales , Journalism and the Magistracy had one thing in common – the ability to communicate! I am married to long suffering Trevor and am fortunate to have my daughter, son in law and three wonderful granddaughters living up the road in Soller. We live in the heart of Soller and our family live in L'horta between Soller and the Port – the stop on the Tram line where the Tram stops without ringing the bell – the half way point between the two.

I have a full life in Mallorca and am privileged to be part of the Georgie Insull Singers which means I hot foot it twice a week into Palma for choir practise. We sing for three charity concerts each year plus many weddings and funerals. Life in all its manifestations keep us busy. Back in Soller I have been known to join the Ladies of Minerva on a Tuesday night for their Line Dancing sessions and the Soller Craft Club for the weekly stitch and bitch. I am often to be found in Soller Square enjoying coffee and the theatre of life that is played out every day. The summer afternoons, work permitting I will be found on the beach at the Repic end of things. This was my first love in the Port of Soller and old habits die hard.

I love this place, its people, its irritations and eccentricities and I look forward to sharing all this and more with you. I hope you enjoy the ride ...

I was a Chairman in the Family Court at Wells St, Inner London Family Court and a Chairman in the Adult Court at City of Westminster Court at Horseferry Road SW1.

I was appointed to The Lord Chancellors Advisory Committee and was part of the team that selected new magistrates.

This was a fascinating period in my life where I learnt to listen .
