Welcome to our home-away-from-home waterfront luxury condo in the exclusive Solarea Resort in Palmas del Mar. It is spacious, comfortable, with beautiful views of the beach and a resort-style pool. It's also right across from a gorgeous beach!
We bought this luxury apt in 2014 to make it our home-away-from-home. We love it. We go 3 or 4 times per year, including a month-long stay in the summer for the kids. It's very comfortable, spacious, and relaxing, while at the same time offering a ton of entertainment nearby. We've decided to rent it a few months of the year just to help breakeven with expenses.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms in about 2200 sq ft. The master bedroom has a king-size tempur-pedic bed (it's fantastic), a desk, and a chest drawer cabinet. The second bedroom is equally spacious, and has a queen-size bed with closet and chest drawer cabinet. The third room is the kids' room. It has custom-made bunk beds with 5 separate beds: three are twins, and 2 are fulls, including a trundle that pulls out from under one of the full beds. So in total there are 7 beds. Plenty of space for up to 9 people (ideally two couples with 2 to 3 kids each).
Each bedroom has its own full bath. The master bedroom also has a tub. Then there's a half bath near the entrance of the apartment.
There are four LED flat screen TVs: 55" in the living room, 40" in the master bedroom, 46" in the second guest room, and 40" in the 3rd room (with bunk beds for the kids). They are all smart TVs, set up with Netflix, so you can sign up with your account. The one in the living room is 4K. The others are 1080p. I also have an Apple TV in the living room that you can sign up with your account, or use my account with almost 200 movies. Bring your own Xbox or Wii if you like and connect them.
In the kitchen we have new Monogram (GE) appliances. We also have a Keurig coffee maker. There's a laundry room with a washer and dryer for your use. We'll have some basic minimum supplies there, but you'll have buy more. There's a Costco nearby outside of Palmas, and a small supermarket inside of Palmas (with limited variety).
Accès des voyageurs
You will have access to the entire apartment except a locked box in the main closet where we keep our personal belongings.
The main entrance has a combination lockpad so it's easy to get in and out. No need to meet to exchange keys. We'll give you the lockpad combination a week ahead of arrival.

My brother Javier and cousin Alfonso live in Puerto Rico and will be available for help if needed. Alfonso lives about 30 minutes away, and helps me cleaning and supplying the condo after guests leave. He is also a handyman, available to fix minor things that may breakdown. However, this is not his full time job, so he's not available 24/7, or at a moment's notice. So please try not to reach out to him unless there's a real immediate need that you can't solve yourself. In fact, reach out to me first if there's an issue, and only reach out to him directly if you can't reach me.
Palmas del Mar has tons to do. See (website hidden). There are 10+ different restaurants inside the Palmas complex. There is a tennis club, golf club, equestrian center, hotel with casino, and a beach club with water amenities. Tons to do, but also plenty of space and time to relax.
The pool at Solarea is fantastic. I could spend hours there, relaxing, sun tanning, swimming, reading, etc. Feel free to take a portable cooler from the pantry down there with beers, food, etc (although keep in mind that beers at the pool must be consumed in plastic cups, not in cans and certainly not in bottles). There's an ice machine in the lounge in building 2.
The beach is a short walk away, behind building 4. That little corner there is the best beach in Palmas. Feel free to take our beach chairs. One word of warning: the ocean in Palmas can be a bit treacherous. Some days the water can be rough, with strong waves. Surfers love it, but it's not a swimming beach. When the water is too rough, you'll see red flags along the beach. Be careful in those situations. Stick close to the shore.
And one more thing: Solarea is the only complex in Palmas with its own diesel electric plant. Electric power in Puerto Rico can be spotty at times, so its very nice to have uninterrupted power to keep running the ACs.
Please keep the place clean, and take care of our furniture and things. Use the ACs, but remember that electricity is very expensive in PR, so please don't waste it.
Absolutely no smoking allowed, in the condo or anywhere in building.
No pets allowed.
Airbnb charges mandatory 7% tax for Puerto Rico tourism company.
À partir du 15 décembre 2017 - 4 janvier 2018, la durée minimum de séjour est de 5 nuits.
