Mike & Gaynor, your hosts, live on the premises and so are always on hand to make their guest stay as comfortable as possible and to offer guests advice on what to see, or where to eat in the surrounding area.
Having said that, the guest accommodation is completely separate from the hosts accommodation and so if you want some privacy, then you are guaranteed this too.
Arguably, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We aim to set our guests up for their day ahead by offering the following breakfast choices:
•Fresh fruit & seasonal berries
•Breakfast cereals & muesli
•Full ‘Lincolnshire’ breakfast cooked to your liking
•Bacon, sausage, black pudding, egg, mushrooms, tomato, beans & sautéed potato
•White or brown toast
•Butter, marmalade, jam & honey
•Freshly brewed pot of tea or cafetiere of coffee (decaf available on request)
Our full ‘Lincolnshire’ breakfasts are freshly cooked to order using locally sourced produce, wherever possible, including our own free-range eggs when available.
Most special dietary requirements can be catered for by prior arrangement.
Breakfast is served in our light and airy breakfast conservatory adjacent to the rooms from 06:00 to 10:00. Breakfast outside of these hours can be arranged by special request.
Sorry, but we cannot accommodate animals, except assistance dogs.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property, but is allowed in the extensive gardens.
No cooking or hot food is permitted in the guest accommodation, but takeaways can be eaten in the Breakfast Conservatory (plates & cutlery provided on request).
Mike & Gaynor decided to leave the rat race behind and start a totally new life in the Lincolnshire Wolds. They acquired “The Paddock” at Scamblesby in June 2015. The B&B element allows them to indulge their love of entertaining, interior design and cooking, whilst the acre of landscaped gardens (plus livestock) keeps them busy for the rest of the time.
The pace of life in the Lincolnshire Wolds is certainly much slower than they have been used to (which is a good thing) and the people here are very friendly too. Mike & Gaynor would like to extend a warm Lincolnshire welcome to their future guests and invite them to come and share in a little slice of their new-found paradise.
