A sparkling new “kid” on the block, right in the trendy heart of Cape Town... And for all its shiny, cool whiteness, the warmth this fully equipped, spacious apartment exudes will instantly make you feel at home far away from home.

This first floor apartment with big bedroom has a view of Signal Hill, an open plan kitchen/lounge area and a modern bathroom. Sea Point’s famous beach promenade, trendy bars and restaurants, are a five minutes stroll away. And it will also take you five minutes to drive to the Victoria and Alfred (V&A) Waterfront and Cape Town’s City Bowl. The Virgin Active gym is across the road.

ACCOMMODATION and FACILITIES: (Maximum 3 persons)

a) Large bedroom with queen size bed, fitted with quality percale linen, desk, easy chair, hair dryer and huge cupboards with hangers;
b) Lounge area with sleeper couch (which can sleep 2), 4 chairs and table, TV with Netflix (but no South African TV channels), free uncapped Wi-Fi;
c) Bathroom with toilet, shower and basin; and
e) Fully equipped kitchen with, among others, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and iron.
f) The apartment has a prepaid electricity meter. I supply R200 worth at the outset, which should be ample for a week's stay. Guests have to top up from then on.

I will personally meet you on arrival, help you to settle in, and give you an overview of the area and general "lay of the land".
I live 25 km away in Durbanville, and will be available at all times if need be.

Green Point nestles between Table Bay, Signal Hill, Sea Point, Mouille Point, The V&A Waterfront and the city centre.
This little village is the epicentre of local action and has fast become one of the trendiest entertainment and residential areas in Cape Town. It is vibrant and lively, particularly after dark when local pubs, clubs and cabaret restaurants serve as a popular hangout for locals and visitors.
Green Point exudes a village-feel and it is safe to walk the narrow villa-lined streets and to frequent the sidewalk cafes and stylish shops. A visit to the Cape Quarter shopping mall is a must.
It is close to the city centre, including Long Street, Company Gardens and a number of museums, galleries and antique shops.
It is regarded as the Gay Capital of South Africa, home to the Gay Pride Festival, gay bars and the annual internationally known MCPQ party. Many of the homes are Victorian-style restorations.
Green Point borders the City centre and the colourful Cape Malay area of Bo Kaap on the one side and stretches along the Seaboard to the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay (less than a 10 minute drive).
Green Point’s Somerset Road / Main Road forms the main thoroughfare lined by numerous restaurants, cafes, boutiques and nightclubs. Giovanni’s Italian deli is not to be missed.
Cape Town International Airport is a 20 minute drive.

a)The MyCiti bus system gets you around to many places.
b)Taxis are also freely available as well as Uber taxis.

b) Two Oceans Aquarium;
c) Robben Island boat trips, harbour and sunset cruises;
d) Cape Town CBD. Famous Long Street is a hub of African and specialist shops;
e) Greenmarket Square flea market with its African artifacts and curios;
f) The South African Museum, National Gallery and Planetarium;
g) Company Gardens with the cathedral, jazz evenings in the crypt;
h) Cape Town International Convention Center;
i) Good Hope Castle;
j) Table Mountain Cable Station and National Park (hiking);
k) Signal Hill & Lions Head (hiking, paragliding);
l) District Six Museum with its rich portrayal of Cape Town’s past;
m) The Rhodes Memorial;
n) Cape Town Holocaust Centre;
o) South African Jewish Museum;
p) Irma Stern Museum and Art Gallery;
q) The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock is a market/village offering fashionable shop, farm/food stalls, galleries. Fresh food and goods market – Saturday 9am - 2pm; not to be missed;
r) Century City /Canal Walk Shopping Centre /Ratanga Junction Theme Park (10 minutes’ drive on N1 highway); and
s) Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Renowned for picnics, the tree canopy walk and Sunday summer evening concerts.

d) Please don’t not drop paper, bags, cigarette butts on the premises;
e) Please do not disturb the quiet or peace of the neighbours. No loud noise inside or outside between 14h00 -16h00 and 23h00 - 08h00;
f) Dangerous materials must not be kept in apartment e.g. petrol, fire arms or illegal substances; and
g) Be alert that doors might bang in windy conditions.

Great host, good communication and great apartment. Walking distant to shops & restaurants as advertised. Netflix was great but no TV channels.

The flat was lovely - as described. Herman was a fantastic host, greeting me on the day and accommodating my late arrival. He was considerate in providing the basics. Herman kept in touch throughout my stay helping me with any queries I had. Netflix and free wifi always worked and Herman had topped up the meter which was enough for my stay. The flat is close to sights and shops. I will definitely stay again if I have the chance.

The apartment is close to lots of amenities and attractions. Superfast internet and a subscription to netflix was a particular highlight.
