À propos de ce logement
Our home was built around a traditional canary house which was completely refurbished in 2010. Guests renting the Ground Floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom have exclusive use of the kitchen, living room and garden patio.
The house is built around a beautiful stone patio with a garden along one side. There is a large teak table in the patio so you can eat outside all year round.
The kitchen and living room are all on the Ground Floor. The kitchen is large and modern, with an oak table that seats 8 people. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, large fridge and dishwasher. We enjoy cooking, so you should find just about every appliance and cooking utensil you might need.
The living room is in what was the oldest part of the house. It's a traditional canary style construction; the roof is solid wood on the inside and the walls are very thick. There are plenty of books and DVD's as well as traditional games like ludo, draughts and cards. There is a small guest bathroom for visitors adjoining the living room.
Facing onto the patio on the ground floor there is the Guest Bedroom that sleeps 2 people and has a full wall of drawers and wardrobes. There is an ensuite bathroom with a glass panelled shower cabinet, two wash basins, a toilet and a bidet.

Échanges avec les voyageurs
The house will be made ready for you and you will be greeted when you arrive. If you have any questions about how things work or whatever else, please feel free to call us directly at any time. There is someone that looks after the property who will be able to drop by and lend a hand if you need anything else during your stay.
There is no Wi-Fi connection, so enjoy being "off-grid" for a few days.
There is a good little village shop in the square but if you have a lot to buy, go to the Mercadona supermarket in Icod de los Vinos, which is 10 minutes away by car.
The rubbish is collected early in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can place the rubbish bag on the pavement outside the front door, the previous night if you want.
Feel free to read the books and view the DVD's that are in the living room but please return them at the end of your visit.
The living room has a chimney but we don't recommend you use it. It never gets cold in Garachico in the winter.
We do not smoke and enjoy being able to offer a no-smoking residence for people visiting Garachico, so please respect the no smoking rule.
Please treat our home with care. If you notice anything that's broken or might need to be repaired, please let us know.
If you are cooking, please use the chopping boards when cutting and slicing and cork mats to protect the kitchen work tops from scratches and burn marks.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 24 heures avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
I'm English and have lived in Spain since 1988. My wife's family comes from Garachico and we built our house in this small seaside town in 2010. We are happy to rent our house for short periods to people who are looking for to spend time in this lovely, historic town on the north of the island.
