Thanks for your interest in my new building, investing in STL. Here is an update!
This is the current rehab status to be aware of:

You will occupy the first floor (door on the left). Though the second floor construction is done, details like: painting, window trim and applications, and closet shelving aren't yet in. The first floor has never been rehabbed so all of it needs updating except the kitchen still.

Cant predict the future state of the progress of the detailing and remodeling, which will be slow since most of it I am doing it myself in my spare time, which I have little of.

The 1st floor front room is for longer term tenant(s). They use the entry closet and have their own section in the bathroom and kitchen as noted in the house manual. Personal guests sometimes stay in the living room on occasion, since there is a futon there. Currently Chi (Chioke) is staying most of the time in the living room, since he is doing a lot of restoration work for me on the building.

You get to have a private furnished master bedroom room in a 1500 square foot 127 year old Victorian style apartment, located in high rent district. I provide a real Full bed, and or a real Full sofa bed and basics including WiFi/net as noted. This means if you book for 3 or 4 people then the 3rd and 4th have to share in the Full beds or for short term stays only could also sleep additional roll out single beds or Aerobed options. The room has space enough for the additional single beds within it.

The white wireless doorbell to the 2nd floor is the only working one, knock (door on left) or call. I usually try to watch though since I work in front and can see out the front window.

Make yourself at home: You can enter without notice to tenant and I or requirement of us being there, just follow the house manual and be mindful and keep the place locked at all times.

Note this is an all hard wood floor building as pictured. The 2nd floor where I stay has a strict no shoe policy, but that doesn't mean no creaking in general for 100 year old hardly insulated floors. Noise is entirely random and cant be predicted, may be none, may be some, but should always be reasonable and minimal. If you have issue let me know immediately via a message.

to Forest Park: FREE Science Center, FREE Zoo, FREE Art Museum, FREE Missouri History Museum, The Jewel Box botanical $1, The Muny outdoor theater has FREE seats.

The Grove Entertainment district on Manchester with a variety of restaurants: Layla, Gramophone, Everest Cafe, Sameems, Atomic Cowboy, (Sweetie Pies -not recommended), and clubs and bars.

Located just South of the Central West End area of the city containing a variety of retail and restaurants, also the Basilica Cathedral.

Located just East of The Hill -all intact Italian neighborhood of mostly Italian restaurants (recommend Rigazzi's family or Zias or Gioia's lunch)

Located within minutes from downtown St. Louis and City Museum, take Chouteau East (historic route 66) all the way to the riverfront Graffiti Wall

Located minutes away from South Grand district, Cherokee Street urban or Cherokee antique row.

Free access to Missouri Botanical Gardens, the only other top 10 attraction that is otherwise not free.

The new IKEA is just NE a few blocks.

is flexible I can work from home, but am often at my office downtown between Noon and 4:30-6PM (depending on workload). I may be available to be a tour guide of the city depending on how long you are staying or pre-plans we can make or at least give many recommendations.
I play a folk harp and will gladly perform my music set for my guests.

I cook breakfast when I am home for my guests upstairs. You have to schedule this with me ahead of time else I assume you are not coming upstairs in the morning for breakfast generally between 8-9am. Breakfast is not provided on the first floor, I provide breakfast every morning on the second floor as pictured but have additional options too.

The tenant can help you around the 1st floor, but I am your dedicated host and manager of the listing please come to me with any concerns or needs beyond 1st floor navigation.

Forest Park South East is aka "The Grove" neighborhood, which was a blighted neighborhood that was revitalized as a gay club district and is now a full blown entertainment district with large scale entertainment for every interest. My place is located a couple blocks North of the actual entertainment street so no worries about loud crowds nor places to park a car. There is ample safe parking directly in front of the building on the street thanks also to the lovely developing city park across the street from the building.

Metro bus #80 or #14 stop on either corner of the park out front and my building is in the middle of the this street. #95 Kingshighway bus also uses this route now that Kingshighway is under construction for the next two years detour. I often drop guests off at Central West End Metro or pickup from there which is the closest Metro train/bus stop half a mile away (10 minute walk) a viable option for those who aren't using a car.
Quick access to Bike lanes St. Louis has fast become a bike-able city.
It's a 17-20 minute walk to The Science Center (about 1 mile)

3 buses from CWE station to home:
find the bus directions and # and when stepping on say as follows:
-every 40 minutes: Southbound Botanical #14 to Machland and Arsenal Garden "toward Shaw getting off at Chouteau please"
-every 40am-60pm minutes: Eastbound Park-Shaw #80 to Civic Center "toward Shaw getting off at Chouteau please"
-every 20 minutes: Southbound Kingshighway #95 to Hampton Loop bus "toward Chippewa getting off at Chouteau please"
more then one bus runs each line so they may be painted differently look for their front digital sign to say the # and end destination are what is displayed on the digital sign.
They all have machines that suck paper and coin money having 1s and or just change is best.

Uber is now available in STL otherwise there is Laclede Cab close by.

There is a "trolley" (bus) that helps one get around Forest Park if need be.

Spacious backyard, nothing fancy, but quaint for entertaining.

There is ample unrestricted street parking opposite side (park side) of the street. The street gets somewhat crowded Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm, but shouldn't be an issue. Space in front of neighbors buildings is for the neighbors, I strive to respect their spaces.
Only pay parking meters on Monday through Saturday from 8am to 7pm (Sunday and Federal holidays are free).

note: Indoor Fireplace's arent functional anymore, they just look lovely and are original. Building has central forced heat and air conditioning.

Uber has, finally, arrived in STL!

Barnes Care at 5000 Manchester is the closest local Urgent Medical Care walk in center close by, alternative to costly ER visits.

Zen's place is very nice and he is a great host. The set up of the house is a bit awkward, but still a lovely place. Great location- a bunch of fun places nearby and very peaceful.

I arrived after 9 but the host was very accommodating. He showed me around and invited me to join in a board game he was starting upstairs. After that, I crashed pretty hard. There was a minor glitch during my stay but we got it all worked out I think. The only issue I had was that I had to cross through another sleeping area to access the kitchen. That might warrant another look.

Just as advertised! Private bedroom in the downstairs area, that has one bathroom which is shared by one other person. The kitchen is under construction. The bedroom is very clean and neat and so this place was idea for me as I only wanted a comfortable place to sleep with free parking and wifi.
