Set in a contemporary building that is well integrated in a highly historical part of Paris, it offers a fabulous sight. The apartment oversees the canal Saint Martin on the quai de Jemmapes side, so you can choose, depending on your mood, between the famous bridge of Miss Poulain, Antoine et Lili's shop or Montmartre.

But the real life is downstairs, along the Canal and the nearby streets. Eating, drinking, shopping and visiting off the path places are a common occurrence in this area. Nothing is really mainstream here, but rather on the creative side.

As an example, when comes the local happy hour, young people gather along the canal Saint Martin for a typically French apero. This little warm-up is a "mise en bouche" to build plans for the next step: finding the coolest restaurant/ bar in the neighborhoods amongst an incredible offer. It is also the time for further discoveries as the night put its shadow on the Canal.

And if you want to explore more, the Paradis - Poissonière - St Denis triangle and the North of the Marais, are at a mere 10-15 minutes walk. The question is then to choose what to do!

I. Guests’ Responsibilities & Apartment Rules
The guest is responsible for the correct and decent behaviour of his/her party.
The guest is responsible for maintaining the Apartment in good condition.
The guest is expected to maintain the general cleanliness of the Apartment and take good care of all the furniture and appliances.
Furniture should be kept in place and not be moved. Furniture, furnishings, appliances, etc. should not be removed from property for any reason. If any property is damaged or lost, this should be reported as soon as it is known to the owner or his agent so that appropriate action can be taken to repair taken to repair or replace property.
The kitchen must be left clean upon departure. All dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. must be washed and stored. Garbage and extra food should be disposed of before departure. If the kitchen is not clean, the owner or his agent may charge additional fee to normal cleaning at check-out as appropriate and deduct these costs from the security deposit.
Garbage should be disposed in the backyard of the building.
No pets are allowed and no smoking is permitted in the Apartment.
II. Complaints
We make every effort to maintain the Apartment in good condition at all times. If there are problems it is the duty of the guest to notify us.
Any complaints about the property upon arrival must be made by telephone, email, or in person to the owner or his agent within 24 hours of arrival so that the owner or agent can take appropriate steps to correct any problems.
Any problems that occur during the rental period should be reported immediately to the owner or his agent so appropriate action may be taken as they arise.
In the event of any dispute the French laws will have jurisdiction.

We stayed in this great apartment for four weeks over Christmas time and had a wonderful stay. Pascal was the host and was very friendly and quick to reply to us about any enquiries we had before and during our stay. He was there to meet us on our arrival and was very accommodating with our check in and out times. We stayed in the apartment with our 15 year old son, who slept on the sofa bed. The apartment is a good size and is really nicely decorated, which suited us for our longer stay there. The kitchen was great for us as we were able to cook meals there. We also loved the location, which overlooks the canal. The area is great for cafes, bars, restaurants and some lovely unique shops. It is easy to get to other parts of Paris if you like walking or the nearest metro station is not far away.

Pascal was very helpful when we arrived in Paris fairly late into the evening and showed us all matters on the apartment we needed to know as well as helpful tips to get us started in Paris. As for the apartment itself, it was perfect. A decent sized stylish apartment. We loved the area and the outlook on to the Canal St Martin; lots of great cafes, a few boutique shops around and locals many were having picnics beside the canal in the evenings. I note from previous comments there were complaints about the noise however this is 5th floor up so it didn't seem a problem plus the bedroom is at the back of the apartment so it was very quiet. We were there in the middle of summer; no air con but the doors can be open front and rear to let the breeze flow through. Good sized shower and bath. Very handy to 2 Metro and 2 RER stations. All round A1 for us.

Very beautiful and comfortable apartment, with wonderful views over the Canal Saint-Martin. Neighborhood very nice, with many restaurants and young people, close to the north side of the Marais. We - 2 adults and 2 children (15 and 8)- would like to come back again.
