Our elegant heritage house was built in 1929 and renovated 7 years ago. It overlooks Spanish Banks, Vancouver's longest, loveliest beach. It's on three levels, with parquet floors, elegant tilework and much local wood. It is both cosy and roomy; the three floors are separate spaces and feel worlds apart. And you can't escape the views of the mountains, the harbour, and the greenery. UBC is 4 minutes away by car, 10 by bike (we'll lend you some).
The house is a classic Vancouver heritage. The main floor has one bedroom, a dining room, a living room with a gas fireplace and the kitchen, with modern appliances and a central island with bar stools. The living room has lovely views of the harbour, as does the front porch, which gives onto a roomy and mature front garden. At the back is a sun-drenched deck with a bbq and a smaller, tiled garden space. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the front one with the best views of all. The downstairs is completely renovated and surprisingly roomy, with a large, booklined TV room, another bedroom, an office and a laundry. There is one bathroom on each floor.
