À propos de ce logement
Welcome to our sunny Greek home! The house is located in a natural reserve, only 50 km from Athens. A long continuous strip of maqnificent Schinias Beach is in 3 min walk from the house under the shade of ancient pine forest.
The main room of the house, which also is a kitchen, is 33 sq m. The bedrooms are about 12 sq m each. The house is laid out in such way that each bedroom has a bathroom, so there are effectively three suites.
The house is located on a single street running through the Schinias National Park, which preserves ancient pine forest and marshland area. We find our place very quiet - there is just enough cars driving along the road to keep one entertained, but hardly more. It is a small, one-street village. The beach is popular on the weekends, but the house is separated from it by the strip of forest.
Although the village is small, it has several taverns. The nearest, about 50 m away, is run by Costas and Yota. They serve excellent home-style cooking and grilled meat.
The nearest towns are Nea Makri and Marathonas. It takes approximately 15 min by car to reach them. Both have a lot of shops and restaurants. In addition, Nea Makri has a nice seaside street filled with fish taverns and cafes and a farmers market on the main square on Thursdays.
It is easy to travel to Athens from our place. It is one hour drive.

I have been an ecological activist when I was young and opened the first laboratory to control the pollution in small industrial town in the Urals, where I was born. Later for many years I worked in Yekaterinburg in the Department of Environmental Protection. I was always passionate about nature. Now I live between Moscow and Schinias, a magnificent nature reserve that is also in need of protection. I look forward to establishing firm links between professional communities of environmentalists in Russia and in Greece to make this precious piece of land that hosts myriads of migrant birds every spring strive. I also look forward to sharing with my guests the simple pleasures of staying at such places as Schinias.
