Modern, and newly-built two-bedroom apartment available for rent from Dec 6 - Jan 6. Location: Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley, in the heart of Perth. Directly in front of bus stop, and at short walking distance from the City and Northbridge.

The apartment is two-bedroom, two-bathroom. Air-conditioning. Free (website hidden). A spacious lounge. And a fully-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a view of Beaufort St, a queen bed, and a private en suite. The other bedroom has a queen-sized bed, with its own unattached, but easy-to-access bathroom. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning, as does the lounge room.

You will have access to all parts of the house. You will be able to cook in the kitchen, wash your clothes in the laundry, read the paper on the balcony, and kick back and watch trash TV in the lounge after a long day.

Neither my housemate nor Ray will be at home during this time (we'll be gleefully trotting around SE Asia together. However, we will have either a trusted friend or family member greet you upon your arrival, give you the keys, and explain to you the basics.

Mt Lawley is one of Perth's premiere dining and coffee destinations. You'll find a plethora of world-class restaurants, wine bars, pubs, bakeries, cafés and night venues, and they'll all be within a walking distance of the apartment. The CBD (central business district) and Northbridge (Perth's buzzing entertainment precinct) are also within a 10-minute walk away.

You will be able to walk to the city, and to most amenities (restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, pharmacy, etc), but if walking is not your thing, buses passing every few minutes will take you directly to the city, and anywhere else you need to go, from a bus-stop directly in front of the apartment building.

If your booking is for week or less, the following services are included free of charge: basic breakfast, and toilet basics (shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper). If your booking is longer than a week, the same services are included free of charge for the first week of your stay only.

No rules except the golden rule: treat our lovely little apartment as though it were your own. Oh, and no smoking indoors: we have a balcony for that :)

Ilario was really very easy to work with, he responds very quickly. The apartment i very well located, right on Beaufort Street, a couple of blocks walk to many bars and restaurants in the area, including my favourite gourmet supermarket ever. Also an easy flat walk into the city (around 20min) through Northbridge which is the entertainment district of Perth, or hop on the 950 Bus which has a stop right outside. The apartment looks just like it does in the photos, its spacious and everything works, and has very strong air conditioning which was great when it was 40deg outside! Thanks Ilario, ill look you up again next time i need a place to stay in Perth.

Hi all,

My name is Ilario Colli. I'm a 30-something writer, music journalist, property investor, and globe-trotter.

My home town is Perth in Western Australia, but incurable wanderlust means I'm quite often away from home for extended periods of time.

When I am in Perth, I live in my beautiful, modern, and very central 2-bedroom apartment on Beaufort St in Perth. My housemate is is Ray, a 30-something nurse, director of a nursing home, and one of the most beautiful people I know. While I'm away, I rent out my room on Airbnb, and its guests have the privilege of living with Ray, in their own private bedroom with a queen-sized bed and private en suite.

I also have a lovely, two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa in Seminyak, Bali, with fully equipped kitchen and pool. The villa is full of character, with warm and colourful furnishings, and is very centrally located, within a five-minute to the Seminyak, Oberoi and Petitenget Entertainment and Shopping precincts. When I'm not there myself (which is often!), I rent out the entire villa on Airbnb to lovely travellers such as yourselves.
