Nestled among and atop two amazing state parks is this beautiful, immaculate log chalet with all the comforts of home and then some. The view is breathtaking, with nothing but a protected wilderness in sight. We had a great time enjoying the amenities of the house and the two large parks nearby. The house is spacious indoors and has lots of decks, patios and green space for enjoying the mountain air. Beds and seating are plentiful and comfortable. There are no chests or dressers in the bedrooms but all the large ones have closets with a few hangers provided. Plenty of towels, linens and blankets were set out for us. The kitchen is roomy and well equipped, including an array of small appliances that we were pleasantly surprised to find. Bring your own sharp chef's knife, as we did, because the ones available have suffered neglect and abuse. Otherwise, there are plenty of plates, cups, cutlery, serving dishes and kitchen tools. Cooking outdoors was more of a challenge because the propane gas grill is really not up to snuff. It seems a low end model to begin with and doesn't generate enough heat overall, plus it has developed hot and cold spots that caused some food to burn while other pieces remained raw. This was the only item in the house I have any complaint about. The owner and the maintenance man were great hosts and responded immediately to our questions. Any problem we had was quickly resolved. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a Pocono getaway. Book and enjoy!

I grew up in Bethlehem, Pa (an hour north of Philadelphia) but I currently live in Greensburg, PA (outside of Pittsburgh) with my son Harrison (3), daughter Aurora (7 months) and husband Billy who is a medical student and grew up in the Adirondacks. I enjoy quality time with all of them. I like to travel, play tennis, read, cook, write, and take photographs. I also like to go on walks and relax in coffeeshops.

My style of travel is "live like the locals," which is why I like airbnb so much! My husband and I used air b & B to travel to Paris. We stayed above a bakery in Montmartre and walked about 8 miles a day. I recently used Airbnb to visit Cambridge, MA. I always have positive experiences with this site. My intent is to be a host that provides a positive, relaxing atmosphere for my guests. I also hope my guests will wish to come back over and over again!

5 things I can't live without are...
1. my family!
2. a notebook (to write things down.)
3. coffee (my favorite beverage.)
4. my camera (to capture moments I want to remember)
5. my Third Eye Blind cd's (they always put me in a good mood).

My life mottos is "happiness is the ultimate currency."
