Situated on almost half an acre with a lovely mountains garden, it's easy to imagine friends and loved ones gathered around the open fire place in the lounge with a glass of wine on a cool evening.
This comfortably furnished cottage has a prime position in the Blackheath town site overlooking almost half an acre of gardens and open space.
The cottage will appeal to those after a beautiful and tranquil spot to re-charge the batteries, nature lovers looking to be close to some of the best walks and views that the Blue Mountains have to offer and families looking for enough space for the kids to have some space to run free while parents oversee proceedings from the wrap-around verandah.
As an added bonus there are the remnants of a clay tennis court, which currently has a pair of soccer goals in situ for kids to run around. The views from every window in the property will take your breath away and in winter the early morning mists (and occasional snow) will re-vitalize and invigorate your senses.
The front two rooms comprise a queen bed in the main room, a queen bed and single bed in the second bedroom, and a king bed in the third bedroom. Quality linen and towels are provided for all guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware, cutlery and crockery, leading out to a dining room with a large country style table seating 8 in front of an original 1940s Metters stove.
The large living room is open plan with comfy sofas positioned in front of the open fire place. For those that are interested in catching up on the latest TV series or movie there is a 55inch Samsung Smart TV, Blu Ray player and soundbar with connection to wifi and Netflix (there is also an array of DVDs at your disposal). In addition to the open fire place the house is heated by a large gas heating unit which is externally flued.
Both the kitchen and living room open out onto a large wrap around verandah with views across the property.
There is everything you will need at Winterwood Cottage plus those little extra touches of comfort, that will make your stay as a couple, family or small group of friends that little extra bit special.
