À propos de ce logement
It is a spacious guest house with stellar vault placed into an impressive aristocratic estate that only a few decades ago was a prosperous agricultural farm. From the internal courtyard you can access the superb verdant garden of 10 acres, structured as the traditional Italian garden stylistically based on symmetry and axial geometry. The garden is adorned with plants of botanical interest that surround a blue pool with hydromassage. Upon request, the owners of the mansion can arrange tours of the whole estate that includes a cozy little family chapel, a small pigeon tower, a stunning collection of aristocratic coaches perfectly restored and the spaces where the first electric olive oil press machines in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies used to work restlessly.
Villa Pantaleo is located right outside the city of Taranto. Because of its geographical position, Taranto is also known as the “city of the two seas” and is famous in Italy for its characteristic old town, the Aragonese castle perfectly restored and the National Archaeological Museum that hosts the bespoken greek, roman and apulian collections, among which the famous golds artifacts.
Villa Pantaleo is strategically placed for unforgettable excursions into the heart of Apulia. Just a few kilometers from Villa Pantaleo you can find the most crystal clear waters of the Ionian sea, awarded each year by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) with the Blue Flag certification. With less than an hour’s drive, food lovers may have the opportunity to enjoy the enogastronomic culture of the South of Italy tasting ancient recipes, genuine products and simple food in lovely villages such as Grottaglie, the town of pottery, or in the borgo of Martina Franca, Cisternino, Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo, all located in the Valle d’Itria also known as the Valley of the Trulli. Lecce, the "Florence of the South", is 90 km distant from Villa Pantaleo: it is one of the most interesting cities in Apulia for its architecture, typical of the 17th Century. From Lecce you can easily reach some other towns of Salento, the heel of Italy, like Galatina, Otranto and Gallipoli.
The owners of the mansion welcome all their guests with warm hospitality and discretion being at their disposition for any evenience and request.
