Set on the edge of a valley with westerly views on a beautiful street in Litchfield this vintage home has all modern amenities and style. Has a well in the mudroom and the steep staircase to give you a really authentic 1820's retreat. A large park-like yard with old granite barn foundations and rock walls facing a nature preserve. Sit in the adirondack chairs and watch beautiful sunsets every night. In the home there is a queen bed, 2 twin beds and another room with a twin bed: Sleeps 5 in all. The home has 2 full baths.

You will enter the home via the mudroom.

Property Manager will have the house ready for you and be available to answer questions and assist with any issues during your stay.

The house is located on a beautiful street between Litchfield and Bantam.
The street has numerous homes from the 1800's, but this house has fantastic westerly views of the valley and nature preserve. Beautiful sunsets!

Our favorite breakfast place in Litchfield is Patty's. Favorite bread Bantam Bread. Favorite dinner spot The Village. Favorite ice cream Arethusa Dairy. Best market Bantam Market. Best ski spot 15 minutes from the house Mohawk Mountain. Best pumpkin farm Bunnell Farm just up the road 5 minutes. Best lake experience Bantam Lake. And the Elephant's Truck Flea market every Sunday only 25 minutes away, my absolute favorite. ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Four of us stayed in this home for a girls weekend. It is in a convenient location to explore the area and has lovely views. The house was cute and very clean. There was plenty of space downstairs for us to lounge. The bedrooms upstairs were small, but the beds were all comfortable. Julie was a great host and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful backyard and a quaint home near historic towns. Our kids enjoyed playing board games and horseshoes in the backyard. We loved the antiques in the house and the host made everything so easy. We can't wait to return!

Another wonderful stay in Litchfield for my family and I. The house was lovely as usual and we enjoyed seeing new works of art on the walls and new furniture. Julie definitely puts a lot of time and love in decorating the house which is fantastic as it really makes it so warm and welcoming. The boys really enjoyed the new puzzles as well. Between playing in the den and the slopes of Mohawk - they were exhausted by the end of the day !

Julie is the consummate host: Available, organized & super kind! The 1820 Farmhouse is sheer perfection upon the first moment of arrival: Sweeping views of Prospect Mountain in the distance make one feel immedielty transported to a special New England get away. The house is stunningly appointed, nestled in the NW Hills of beautiful Litchfield CT. Excellent for quiet time and for family time as it has a ton of in door and outdoor space to breathe in the fresh air. My stay included 1 Month at this charming accommodation fit for a Prince & Princess: Lucky me! There is something here for everyone: long outdoor stretches of bucolic country roads to walk, run, bike and hike and fabulous restaurants, organic supermarkets, artisanal ice cream, boutique shops and conveniences all within minutes. The Farmhouse is the perfect get away, which is entirely restorative and yet always begs another return to "Hit Repeat!" Anyone who gets to experience this home should consider themselves quite fortunate and blessed; I know I do and my dearest Friends who are well travelled like me, who have visited as Guests are always begging for a return invite to visit! Of course: We have every intention to return again soon to this blissful slice of heaven! ;-)

Lovely old farmhouse renovated with respect and comfort. Furnishings are comfortable, the house was clean and ready for our arrival. Photos are an excellent representation of house and grounds and the gorgeous view out back. There are lovely hiking trails a very short drive from the house. Litchfield, Bantam and other charming historic CT towns are within easy driving distance and worth a visit. Perfect home and setting for a relaxing getaway with friends or family. We were completely satisfied.

Julie has made a very special retreat in the Litchfield Hills - the house is very homely and beautifully decorated with historic charm and an amazing view. My mum and her friend were visiting from the UK and they loved experiencing rural CT. Bantam and Litchfield have much to offer for a rainy afternoon. The Village is a wonderful lunch spot. Thank you for having us Julie and helping us plan our trip throughout.

Bought the home 12 years ago. Our family of 5 love it and would like to share with others that appreciate old homes and a bucolic setting. We live in Raleigh now and cannot get there as much as we would like and want to see the house being enjoyed. It is too special to sit empty.
We love mid-century and bohemian decorating, so the house it decorated in an eclectic mix to set the mood for a special getaway.
