Large country house with half an acre of gardens, hot tub for 8; sauna and BBQ. Close to beaches, many attractions and activities to do locally - theatre, historic City, castles and sports. Open all year. Welcome groups incl Hen parties. A great base
Close to miles of sandy and shingle beaches and not far from the South Downs National Park with Chichester set between the two, this is a unique area. Historically the area has been settled since the Iron Age and before, with lots of Roman activity in particular.
Living Elements itself is set in over half an acre of gardens in the countryside with plenty of tarmac parking for guests. 3-4 bedrooms and more options if the sofa beds are used this house is great for groups and extended families in particular.
It's best features - the hot tub and sauna are ALWAYS a success!
We are pet friendly and with easy acess to some great walks from the door or a short car ride away we know that you and your four-legged friend will love the holiday!
The house offers some wheelchair access, although it is NOT suitable for fully wheelchair dependent guests. If you need this you can stay opposite at my other property - Nature's Elements.
We are open all year and welcome groups and extended families in particular. Turn around day is usally a FRIDAY. Weekend breaks are Friday evening to Sunday morning.

I am usually about to welcome you to the house in person, and if not I will let you know where the key is. There is always a generous welcome pack waiting for you, plus plenty of information about the local area, best places to eat, shop, visit etc depending on the ages and interests you may have.
If you have extra queries, and they aren't answered on the website - (URL HIDDEN) then by all means email me or call me. Please note that I am also an Osteopath and run a busy practice so may not be able to answer immediately!
Things to do:
The seasons bring different delights - bird migrations locally are famous in the Spring and Autumn. Spring and there is a big Art Trail over 3 weekends incl a May Bank Holiday, there are open air plays and theatre specials. The holiday season begins with many visitors to the caravan parks too which boost the local population! Summer sees the Goodwood Festivals - Glorious horseracing and the Festival Of Speed; also the Film Festival and Chichester Festivities - which encompass talks, theatre, open air plays and more! Beach holidays and long days plus gorgeous starry nights (we have no light pollution here) Autumn has the Goodwood Revival - a world renowned car and vintage extravaganza or go to Selsey for the Fireworks in October. Winter - sees special events in the City and evening shopping too.
In the House Handbook there are ideas of places to see in hot and wet weather alike, places to go with children or if you have mobility difficulties and we also have an "I'm Bored" jar with more ideas!
Still stumped... see our (URL HIDDEN) pages..
1. NO smoking inside. Please clear away debris if you smoke outside (ashtrays are available).
2. Also NO candles in case of fire.
3. We have a pet policy - please ask for this when you book. It is also on the house website (URL HIDDEN)
4. Guest arrival from 4pm. Guest turnaround day is usually a Friday unless a prior agreement has been made.
5. Guest departure time - BY 10am in the morning of your last day.
6. Weekend stays are more expensive than the nightly charge pro rata depending on the size and requirements of the group.
7. Please ensure that you are quiet BY 11pm, especially if you are using the hot tub. My neighbours are patient but they don't want to hear your party and have the children awoken! Thank you.

My name is Gayle Palmer. Aside from running the self catering lets, which includes the cleaning and laundry; I am also an Osteopath – and have been since 1991!! I bought the land in 2002 and lived in Living Elements at that time. I designed, built (and opened) the clinic in 2005 – part of which is now Nature’s Elements.
I am passionate about my career helping people attain and gain their health, strength and sense of purpose. I work not only on a strictly physical level, but also on a mental, emotional and spiritual level too. Plus I am interested in lifestyle and diet. My aim is to really transform my clients experience of life and living – quite a tall order sometimes! Hence I am also a life coach of sorts too.
I have recently created a NEW course to help the older generation and their families get the most out of their lives right now and get their "house" in order - so you can create what they want in the future powerfully! Its comprehensive, covering the 10 most important areas of live eg family, money, home, legacy, funerals etc!!
Its called Great Guidelines for Later Life and its enrolling now!
In my spare time – I LOVE gardening, and with an acre here, plus other gardens, they keep me pretty busy. But – that’s not enough for me! My biggest passion is racing and sailing my Classic yacht – which I do from one of the nearby villages, Itchenor, 3 times a week in the Summer. (In the Winter its repainting and varnishing time.) From time to time, I am willing to take a guest out (as long as they have done some sailing before and are reasonably fit) – so do ask – it’s a real “Red Letter” experience. Her sail number is V6, and she is bright yellow! I win quite a lot of trophies!
I enjoy welcoming guests to Chichester Self Catering and hope you enjoy the experience of staying here. Sometimes stuff doesn’t go quite according to plan, but I will always do my best to sort out challenges whenever I can. You can help too – by letting me know if something isn’t working or broken. I really do try to make your stay a success, but being a busy lady some patience may be required. Politeness also goes a long way plus some commonsense your your part too!
I also love writing new posts about the area – so you can make the most of your stay…. if you can’t find a subject you are interested in – let me know. eg fishing opportunities etc
Most of the lets are from a Friday to a Friday (or over a weekend). If you have different requirements please let me know. They can sometimes be accommodated.
I am a keen recycler / conservator of energy – there are solar panels on Living Elements and PV and an air-source pump at Nature’s Elements. You will be asked to sort your rubbish when you are staying here (or it won’t get taken away!) but you are also welcome to add to my large compost heap with your green waste too if you wish.
I hope you find what you are looking for on the website – I have tried to make it comprehensive, and I often add new posts and pages and blogs. I am also on social media… are you? Please like, follow and pin! You can work out which website to use I hope...
Thank you for your support.
I look forward to welcoming you in person to this lovely part of England very soon,
Some things my guests say about me:
“Thanks Gayle, you were so helpful and kind when we arrived very late. Even helped up unpack the car! We loved the extra personal touches.”
“What a happy smile to welcome us. Made up for the delayed journey. We LOVED the hot tub – couldn’t get the kids out of it! Thanks for a great holiday experience – especially the maps!”
