I have lived in "Far West Texas"most of my life. Growing up on a ranch provided opportunities to learn about the daily life of a ranching family. I'm a retired teacher having taught school in Presidio, TX for 21 years. My father's family arrived in Marathon in the late 1880's. They were early settlers who ranched in the region. My history in Brewster and Presidio counties has given me a vast understanding of this area to share with my guests.
Marcie will be your host and has managed the properties since they were lovingly restored. I have been blessed to have her continue under my ownership. Together, we want to help people connect with great places to visit, and provide a homey place stay while you explore this little known and remote National Park and State Park area. Many will also find Marathon a great base to branch out and see other attractions in this amazing big bend area.
