Description

Cuteness is all this Eeyore shares with the dreary donkey from The Hundred Acre Wood: Rest easy in this cozy cabin and fill your days with exploring and relaxation.

Join us this Fall for The Common Ground Fair, we're just 20 minutes away!

"Eeyore" is one of four private cabins available on our sprawling woodland property. The cabin itself is simple and includes a double bed, full bathroom, parking, and access to wifi. There is the option of adding an extra cot (as shown in picture) if desired, but please let us know before your arrival.

The 350 acres surrounding the cabin are home to a well-established, progressive arts camp for children during the summer which makes for a unique and eclectic experience: Impressive mosaics, stained glass, and sculpture are on display throughout the property while serene woods and fields make for great exploring, with a large network of trails perfect for hiking or mountain biking. There are excellent fire pits for making s'mores or hanging out under the stars...oh, and the stars here are AMAZING!
We also have tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, and a swing set all available for guests to use. If relaxation is what you're looking for, take a walk through our organic garden, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy our peaceful, creek-side dance studio ideal for yoga or meditation.

In addition to some year-round human residents, the property is home to 8 llamas, 3 alpacas, 2 miniature ponies, 2 miniature donkeys, 3 dogs, a flock of chickens, quite a few cats, and one free-roaming, pot-bellied pig named Dexter. While the animals keep to their own spaces, you can't miss the llamas, alpacas, and Dexter who live in the center of the camp and the ponies and donkeys are a short walk from your residence if you'd like to pay them a visit.

Breakfast will be included and a full communal kitchen in a separate building is available for cooking and storing food.

We are happy to help make your stay as fulfilling and comfortable as possible, however we understand that some guests may be looking for privacy and space during their time here. We will typically be available to greet guests upon arrival and then accessible as much or as little as they would like.

Please let us know if you would like a tour of the property, recommendations on food and recreation in the area, or anything else to make your stay more pleasant.

While we are somewhat in our own little world here at camp, our location is ideal when it comes to attractions nearby: We are only 20 miles from the gorgeous Maine coast and just a short drive away from Belfast, Maine where you can enjoy great food, shopping, and entertainment. The Common Ground Fair, a huge Fall attraction, is only 12 miles from us and The Lost Kitchen, the renowned farm-to-table restaurant, only 6 miles away.

You will need to have your own vehicle to get around as we are located in a rural area and all sights require driving.

While on the property, it can be fun to bike around on the main road or some of our trails, though a mountain bike is necessary.

We are happy to provide you with extra blankets but please be aware that this cabin is not heated and nights can get chilly here.

Règlement intérieur
Non fumeur
Ne convient pas aux animaux
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait entre 15:00 et 22:00

House rules are fairly straight-forward: we expect guests to clean up after themselves, respect the privacy and property of other residents (this includes noise levels at night), to only use the buildings and areas that have been discussed as open to them, and to use common sense and courtesies during their stay.

Because of the other animals that live here, we unfortunately cannot have guests bring pets.

We were glad to find a bed for our annual trek to the Common Ground Fair nearby. The cabin is an older one, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep while you are out for the day, this was fine. It was very helpful to have breakfast provided each morning.
