À propos de ce logement
Private room in large home with use of kitchen, living room, outdoor patio, laundry room, etc. 2.3 miles from Advocate Christ Medical Center. Quiet, safe neighborhood, with a park and walking trail one block away.
You will have a private bedroom on the first floor of the home with a comfortable queen bed and plenty of pillows. Although not considered a 'private bath' because it is not in the room, you won't have to share the bathroom to get ready and you can leave your things there. There is a full closet, desk and dresser in the room as well. The TV in the bedroom is not connected to cable but does get many channels and has HDMI / USB ports for plug-ins like your Firestick, Roku, or laptop.
Accès des voyageurs
You will have full access to the kitchen, sitting room, laundry room and weather permitting, the patio. Feel free to make coffee or tea and keep food in the fridge, use dishes, etc.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I am available for questions at any time. I like to think that there is a good balance of interaction when you want or need it, and respect for your private space and quiet time.
My son adopted a medium sized dog recently (boxer / american staff mix) who has been great so far. Very friendly and gentle but does get excited when greeting people and I am sensitive to the fact that some people may not be comfortable running into her. PLEASE let me know if you would prefer not to interact with the dog (I've added a picture in the listing photos). She does NOT have free reign of the house and it is quite possible that you would not see her. I hesitate to stop hosting since there may be plenty of guests who do not mind, but I definitely understand if you chose another listing because of the new addition to our home.
Please, no smoking inside. Feel free to smoke outside.

I work in a laboratory by day, musician by night. I've hosted traveling scientists and Ph.d. students who come to Argonne National Lab and love learning about other cultures. Looking forward to traveling to visit them soon!
