This amazing property offers solitude, spectacular views and private river access. It is the perfect retreat for couple, families or friends. This charming home has a large master bedroom with an electric fireplace creating a romantic retreat. It has a queen sized bed and separate bathroom which includes a jacuzzi tub, separate shower and double basin vanity. The second bedroom is in an enclosed porch which wraps the farmland around you. It has a double-sized swing bed. This is a favorite spot in winter or summer. There is a smaller bedroom with 2 twin beds. The second bath has a shower over a claw foot tub. The home is decorated in a country style with some antiques. The cozy living room with a stone fireplace (wood provided) has books, board games, puzzles, a TV and DVD player. There is a large farm table with bench seating for meals with family or friends. A very well equipped kitchen has everything from baking sheets to roasting pans. There is plenty of cutlery, dishes, cooking utensils and a huge collection of cookbooks to tempt you. Start your day at the cozy breakfast nook with your morning coffee. All appliances are modern, including a 6- burner stove top. An office space for working and free satellite internet are provided. (Internet is fine for emails and internet searches but not fast enough for video chatting or remote business work) An outside covered porch with furniture for relaxing and taking in the view, a large deck with a hot tub and outdoor shower and a patio and fire pit can be enjoyed most of the year. Pets ($15/pet/day) are welcome. Plenty of space for horses, if you can provide your own enclosure. ($25/horse flat rate) The daily rate is $210 for 2 people. Additional people are $20/person/day. There is a discount for weekly and monthly rentals.

Guests have access to the entire home and property. I use a separate cottage, 100 yards away from the main house, when I am not traveling. Guests have complete privacy in the home.

The Applegate Valley is an amazing area for wine lovers, fishermen, hikers, rafters, horseback riders, skiers (Mt Ashland) and nature lovers as the seasons permit. Foodies, yoga practitioners, theater goers, festival seekers, music lovers and history buffs will not be disappointed with Jacksonville (20 min drive), Grants Pass (30 min), Medford (30) and Ashland (40 min).
There is a no smoking policy in the house. Smoking is permitted on the open porch and deck.
Fishing packages are discounted only within the period of your stay at Sweetbrier Farm or Cottage, gift certificate is applicable only to a future stay at Sweetbrier Farm or Cottage.
This is a dog friendly property but there are no fenced yards. I have a small dog who may be here so your pet must be non-aggressive or on a leash at all times. Pets must be housebroken, kept off furniture and not left in the house alone unless crated. There is a $15/pet/day fee paid directly to the host upon arrival. For stays longer than 7 days, fees are negotiable.
Horses are welcome, if you can provide your own enclosure.
