Accès des voyageurs
The whole house is yours. We live in Denver and have a support person locally in Allenspark if there are any problems.
Our cabin is located over 8000 feet above sea level so if you are coming from lower elevations please consider staying one night in Denver or Boulder ( 5280 ft) before coming to the cabin. Some people are affected by the altitude, others not at all. If you are pregnant or have health issues please consult your doctor. the best way to avoid an altitude headache or other issues is to drink lots of water and be careful with alcohol- one drink is equal to 2 at sea level.
Some festivals& events in the area this summer:
Scandinavian Midsummer festival June
Rooftop Rodeo Estes Park
Run Like the Wind 5&10K race Allenspark
Lyons Folk Festival
Ned Fest, Nederland art and microbrews
Longs Peak Highland Festival September
Estes Park Music Festival concerts
Pet must be disclosed in reservation request with description of pet's size and behavior. One well behaved dog will be considered. While at the cabin, dogs must be on a leash when outside and kenneled when guests are not at the home. The deposit will be doubled for dog visitors. We reserve the right to decide on whether to welcome a dog based on the number of guests.
We prefer all guests have past reviews/recommendations. All guests must be fully verified for a reservation to be accepted. We reserve the right to decline requests without past reviews and/or full verification.
Store food and trash/recycling inside the house at all times. There is a garbage and recycle center near the firehouse on highway 7. We have posted the hours in the house. Do not leave food in the car as it will attract wildlife.
Our county is currently under a Fire Ban.
Smoking of any kind outside only and with GREAT care. Cigarettes, etc.. should be extinguished in water and NEVER disposed of outside (i.e. thrown over the side of the deck, etc) It has been dry and forest fire is always a worry in our mountains. If there is evidence of any smoking in the cabin or items being improperly disposed, we will charge the full damage fee and potentially charge additional damages based on clean-up costs and damages done.
We bought this unfinished cabin in 1985 and have added to it and renovated extensively. It is an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from Denver and the airport but you will be in the high mountains- elevation over 8500 ft. It is close to many hiking trails with restaurants and horseback riding nearby. Shopping is in Estes Park, 20 minutes away with a full supermarket and lots of stores. Access to the spectacular Rocky Mountain National park with fly fishing and other activities. We are an artist and retired University professor who is now a photographer.
