This compact studio is truly one of a kind built out of a combination of new and salvaged materials, with lots of interesting touches. No space is wasted in its design which creates a very comfortable space. Private and secure, with a lovely view.
This was originally the old sleep out for the house which our family has owned for 98 years. It was recently extensively renovated and is my base at times when I am in Auckland.

I am currently living out of Auckland, although I do still travel there frequently so it depends on the time of year you stay. I am of course very respectful of your space so you will likely not see me unless by prior arrangement.

I am a freelance cameraman and owner of a business out of Auckland so naturally travel a lot, which leaves my Auckland accommodation vacant for long stretches.
The building I am renting has been a project of mine for a couple of years and I assisted at every stage of the build. It sits behind a home my great grandparents bought nearly 100 years ago.
I am a keen recycler and get annoyed at the wasteful practices of the building industry, so I used a wide range of new and reclaimed materials in its build, including some of the old ornate wooden door surrounds from the old family home which had been stored under the house for decades. As you can see from the picture I choose to leave the different paint layers as a way of looking back into my families past and the colours they looked at daily.
Auckland is my home so I am always willing to help point you in the right direction if I can.
