Our luxurious bridal suite with a 14 ft tall, Civil War period, canopy, King size bed and private bathroom, appointed with Carrara marble and subway tile. High thread count sheets and linens. The nicest hotel room between Fort Worth and El Paso.
What we like about this room: For our part of Texas, this is the Crème de la crème! The bed is a showstopper, and the chandelier is the backup group! A focus on outlandish luxury.
This room features a King size, 1870s, Victorian Bed made in upstate New York, with a 14 foot tall, half tester canopy! The antique, crystal chandelier, hanging from the 20 feet tall ceiling is nearly “as big as a Volkswagen”! A premium mattress and high thread count, Egyptian Cotton sheets make this antique bed a post modernist’s dream. The room is accessorized with antique mirrors, a desk and high speed wireless internet, a mini fridge, high speed, wireless internet, a 42 inch flat screen television, and conveniently located electrical connections on each side of the bed that include a pair of standard outlets and a pair of USB ports for all those devices that we all have these days.
The en suite bathroom offers a ladies vanity repurposed from a French dresser with original marble top and a gentleman’s 100 year old, pedestal style, barber shop shaving sink. The bathroom has a 12 feet tall, subway tiled shower and an antique, claw foot tub for a pampering bath. The faucets are period appropriate, polished nickel.

The historic Sayles Landmark is unhosted, so there is no one on site. We encourage you to be independent. There are plenty of towels and amenities in your room, and we do not do daily maid service on stays of less than three days. Because there are digital locks on the exterior doors and your room door, you are free to come and go at will. You will be given your codes at time of arrival.
There is a dynamic, new trend in travel accommodations called “Design-Focused” properties… It is defined as a new generation, Bed & Breakfast or Boutique Hotel, with an emphasis on Design and Aesthetics. We have discovered that travelers want more than basic comfort. In addition, they want an intentionally crafted experience that offers a sense of style when they stay in luxury accommodations. The doily clad museum house just won’t cut it any longer with today’s luxury traveller.
Contrary to the stuffy, dated, B&Bs that evoke negative and passé memories, the Sayles Landmark Bed And Breakfast reveres the architectural history of the house, but is a very post-modern accommodation that addresses the needs, desires and personality of today’s traveler. Our property and business have been designed to maintain the comfort and privacy of our guests. Although you are in a semi public accommodation, you will feel like you are our honored houseguest. While other guests will be staying in the property, you will feel no obligation to socialize with strangers—unless you want to.Making new friends can be a very fun experience, but we recognize that it’s not for everyone, and that’s totally ok!
