À propos de ce logement
A lovely home divided in two set against bush with your own entrance.
Three bedrooms, a kitchenette, a separate toilet, shower and bathroom.
The main bedroom/lounge area overlook beautiful bush from its deck. You can access the pool from your own gate.
We are very well located to anything you'd want to do in Whangarei. Guests really enjoy the peaceful location - check out our reviews to see what others have said.
We have divided our large home in half (locked door between each end) and created an independent self-sufficient home away from home, for guests.
We have struggled to accurately list this under the Airbnb categories , so although it is not an "entire house" you do have the entire half house to yourself .
If you like peace and privacy you will love it here. It is so close to town yet tucked away in beautiful quiet surrounds.
Kensington Sports Park, including the Netball Centre, Hockey Stadium, Athletics and Gymnastic Stadium, Table Tennis Stadium and Basketball Stadium are all an easy 5 minute walk away, or 2 minute drive.
The main bedroom/living room is really spacious. It has its own deck with lovely morning sun and overlooks the bush. The super king bed has 2 roll away beds underneath. This room could sleep 4. There is a ranch slider entrance to this room from the parking area.
The 2nd bedroom has another super king bed and a window seat overlooking the bush.
The 3rd bedroom has a king single bed. We have said this house sleeps 7, but please note 2 of these beds are roll-away singles.
The kitchenette consists of a sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, jug, crockery and cutlery. In the pantry there are cereals, coffee and tea etc.
Please note there is no oven, but an electric frypan is available and we have a gas BBQ outside in the pool area.
All the bathroom facilities are in separate rooms, toilet, shower and the bathroom which has a bath.
We have a laundry that we can make available to you, just ask and we will give you a key.
While we will be next door in the other half of the house for some of the time, we are very quiet and you won't hear us.
There is a locked door between the 2 parts of the house (see the house plan in the photos for a closer look at the layout)
Accès des voyageurs
As we both work full time, you will have the pool, BBQ area and garden area all to yourself during week days.
This area has a lot of space around it and enjoys all day sun.
Access to the guest end of the house is separate and parking is right outside your door.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We have set up the guest accommodation to be self sufficient and independent.
You will be warmly welcomed here and we hope you will enjoy the place as much as we do.
We are mostly busy and active so tend to do our own thing allowing you to do the same.
Those who like privacy will enjoy it here.
This is an extremely quiet and peaceful home. Birds are plentiful, and relaxing in the deck chairs beside the pool is recommended.
It is the perfect base if you are here supporting visiting sports teams, as it is an easy 5 minute stroll to Kensington Park.
It would suit 2 couples or a family, however if it's just you, you'll be just as happy.
We would appreciate it if any smoking is off the property. Please be considerate of noise levels.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.

We have lived here for 26 years and our children have grown up, left home and are working in Auckland. We love it here, especially the peace and quiet and all day sun. This, combined with the fact we are so central to the city, are the reasons we haven't moved. I am a teacher at Whangarei Girls High School (Head of Dance), and my husband Mark runs our website design and commercial printing business. We spend as much time as we can, depending on weather, at the beach. Camping, boating, fishing and paddle-boarding are passions of ours. We are also hockey mad! Our daughter plays for the NZ Black Sticks Womens' Hockey team and is on track for the Olympics in 2016, and our son plays for the NZ Black Sticks Mens' Hockey team.
We have stayed at Air BNB's both overseas and in New Zealand while travelling for hockey, and since discovering this form of accommodation, would never go back to motels or hotels. We love the different places, the homely atmospheres and different people we have met, and look forward to extending the same hospitality with our own Airbnb.
