À propos de ce logement
Small but charming room in a cozy apartment in South Yarra with everything you need. Great access to CBD, shops, restos. You'll stay with a friendly couple who HOSTED Brian Chesky, CEO & Co-founder of airbnb when all of this first started in 2008!
DEAR GUESTS: Please do us a favor and read through the descriptions before inquiring/booking (many of your questions are answered here.) We also prefer guests with a verified profile and reviews. If you're new to airbnb, we hope you would take the time to tell us about yourself and your trip. THANK YOU!
Your room is small but very pleasant with a big window that lets in lots of natural light, a super comfy double futon bed that folds with ease into a big sofa when not in use to create more room. It comes with a good-sized wardrobe, bedside table and lamp, and a gorgeous bookcase.
The apartment is on the second level of a 7-story building. It has lots of big glass windows which bring in the light and offer great green views.
Note: this apartment is near Toorak Rd, so do expect some level of street noise, but so far none of our guests have had major issues at all with it! We prepared ear plugs for those who need the sound of silence to sleep well, and only few have had to use them. The common area is reasonably quiet thanks to brick walls and double-glazed windows.
Accès des voyageurs
Except for the other bedroom that we occupy, you are welcome to use everything in this very well equipped apartment:
- TV with Blue-Ray player and FetchTV (dozens of international and local channels)
- Bathroom (with shower and bath)
- Washer and dryer
- The very well equipped kitchen with a fantastic Breville espresso maker. If Tiendung is home, he might be able to make you a latte.
- You're welcome to use our coffee beans and milk for your coffee. We always use the best beans and milk because life is too short to drink mediocre lattes!
- Treat yourself to our big collection of books.
- Feel free to make yourself comfortable in the common space (the sun room, the living room, the dining table)
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We're easy going and love meeting people. However, we respect your privacy and would make sure you're comfortable. We'll be happy to provide information on Melbourne and have occasional chats. We're pretty relaxed.
The room is small, ideal for one person and cannot accommodate more than two people, including children (so two adults or one adult and one child will be fine).
We're both working full-time, so the standard checkin time is 6PM. However, we'll try our best to arrange key-pickups that suit you as we both work in the city, and most guests come to our place via the city.
No smoking inside the apartment and the building, no pets (your room is carpeted), no party. No non-airbnb guests.
We are happy to host kids, but parents please be aware that our apartment is not child-proof. You will be responsible for your child's safety.
Shoes off at the door please. Thank you!
Just be reasonable, and we'll be fine!
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
We are a professional couple who work in education and training. Tiendung is a university lecturer in project management, and Thuy is an instructional designer/education entrepreneur. In the past 15 years we have lived, studied and worked in Australia, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam. We love to make friends everywhere we go, and hosting airbnb guests has been one of our favourite ways to learn about the world. In fact, we HOSTED Brian Chesky, the CEO and Co-founder of airbnb in March 2008 in Austin, Texas when he first tested out the idea at the SXSW festival (airbnb officially became a company in August 2008). So there you go, sleep on our airbed and become one of the youngest and most admired entrepreneurs/billionaires in the world! Or just stay with us and have a good time :-)
