The good thing about this space is that you have as much privacy as you want. The guest bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room are in their own "cul-de-sac" within the house. You can enter the front door and go to your room without ever entering the common areas.
You are welcome to do laundry and use all common areas. Parking is not a problem, as you can park in the driveway directly in front of the main entrance (just please don't block the garage). Your room has a 46 inch Smart TV with blue ray, Netflix button, PS3, blu ray, and games. Free WiFi password is posted on the wall. The living room has bigger 4K TV, PS4, Wii, Netflix, and more. ** Note that I do not have cable or satellite (I just don't watch enough TV to justify having it). All I get are the local channels and network stations.
Your key unlocks the bottom lock on the front door only.
My bedroom and bathroom are off limits.

I'm a very mellow person. I enjoy drawing and painting, writing, and exercise. I work during the day, but when at home, I spend most of my time in my bedroom doing these things or going out for live music. I generally don't use my living room or watch TV very much, so you are welcome to it... I have Netflix, video games, Blu Ray surround sound if you like movies, etc. Use anything you want.
I'm pretty flexible about interactions. If you're the type of person who just wants to go to your room and have privacy, I respect that. The layout of my home is good for that. On the other hand, if you feel like hanging out and chatting, I'm a friendly person and enjoy talking to people from all walks of life. Or if I'm watching a movie or TV, you're welcome to join me! It's really up to you and what you are comfortable with.
*This is an attached condo unit and the guest bedroom is situated right next to the neighboring garage, so you will hear when they open/close their garage door and/or start their car. This disturbance doesn't happen often, but it's something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper. Like most people, they go to work in he morning and return in the evening. I've only had one guest who even noticed, but I thought I'd mention it.
• Check-in time is 4PM, but may be flexible if needed. Just ask.
• Not suitable for pets
• No smoking
* Noise - This is an attached unit, meaning there are people on the other side of the wall. I've never heard a peep out of them and they've never complained about hearing anything from me (and I do play music and watch movies), so I'm assuming the sound insulation is pretty good... so feel free to stay up as late as you want and watch movies, or whatever you want to do.
*Room Service - People have different preferences and expectations with regard to guest service, privacy, etc. Some guests want total privacy and don't want the host entering their room at any time during the visit. Others expect hotel-like service, including new towers and fresh sheets daily. My stance on this is to err on the side of privacy. Basically, I won't go into your room for any reason unless and until you want fresh sheets or want it vacuumed. I think most normal people use towels more than once and don't wash their own sheets every day anyway, but I'll leave those intervals up to you. When you want a new towel, get one from the closet and leave the old one outside the door and I'll wash it. Leave trash can outside the door if you want it emptied. If you're here more than a few days and want your sheets changed, just say the word and I'll come in and put fresh ones on the bed (or they are in the closet if you don't want me entering). If you don't say anything, I'll assume you're fine. Again, I always err on the side of privacy and assume that you don't want me going in the room when you aren't there. I will go into the bathroom every couple of days to see if the toilet, sink, and shower need to be cleaned and do so if necessary. Otherwise, I'll leave your space alone unless you request something.
* Kitchen- I take care of the dishes, just leave them in the sink. You can buy groceries and cook if you like. You will have a shelf in the refrigerator and some cabinet space. If you do cook, just try to clean up after yourself.
* Pets - Not allowed. Sorry. I'm allergic to certain breeds and don't want to risk it.
* Smoking - Not allowed in the house. If you want to go to the patio or front porch to smoke, that's fine.
* Curfew - There isn't one. Come and go as you please, any time, day or night. I live alone and your end of the place is quite private. You can come in the front door and literally go to your room without ever going near my room or the common areas, so it is of little consequence to me when you come and go.
* Parking - Park in the driveway directly in front of your room. All I ask is that you don't block the garage so that I can get in and out of it. The homeowner's association does not allow parking on the street. So if your party has more than one car, one of you will need to park in guest parking, which is only half a block away.
Easy going creative type; somewhat of an introvert who enjoys writing and art. I work in management and like to keep that separate from my personal life. I appreciate diversity and don't have any issues with people of all types, personalities, and backgrounds.
Easy going guy who enjoys a variety of activities and hobbies. Recently started back doing portrait art from time to time and usually have something in progress, even though I'm a notorious procrastinator when it comes to finishing them. I also like live music occasionally. Soulful, funky, or of the Caribbean/reggae flavor.
I used to travel a bit more than I do now. Getting older and settling down. I think it was a phase and, once I satisfied that urge to explore a few places, I calmed down about it.
When I do travel, I'm very low maintenance and don't require much. Don't need satellite TV, a pool, bar/casino, lots of amenities, and have zero interest in any perks that a hotel or room has to offer. If a place is clean, safe, relatively comfortable, internet access, I'm good.
That's what kind of guest I would be. Low maintenance. I don't need a lot of attention or to be coddled. At most, I might need help figuring out how to get to and from the places I want to go and a clean towel. I'm also able to deal with a variety of personalities. I can be talkative if my host/guest is up for it, or I can just stay to myself and let them have the freedom to go about doing whatever they want to do.
If you're my guest, you can make your stay whatever you want it to be. If you want it to be a friendly encounter where we chat, or you want to go hang out somewhere and get lunch, I'm probably good with that. If you just want a good, clean, and spacious place to sleep at night, I'll disappear and let you have your privacy. As a guest or host, my goal is to be accommodating within reason (no, you can't borrow my car! ha ha).
Overall, I'm a "live and let live" kind of guy. I treat people with respect and, until proven otherwise, assume they will do the same for me.
