Located in the historic district of Mid-City. Just a 2 mile street car ride away from the French Quarter; blocks from City Park/Bayou St. John and the NO museum. We are also on the route for Mardi Gras parading and close to Jazz Fest.
We just love this house, and we think you'll love it, too! It is a traditional New Orleanian house referred to as a "shotgun double". All the rooms are lined up from front to back. This property is situated in the historic district of Mid-City (on the National Register of Historic Places). You will not feel cramped in this space as it boasts two sitting rooms in the front of the house and two full bedrooms in the back. It has high ceilings and the huge windows that let in a ton of natural light. Each room has hearths with old, original brick and carved, wooden mantelpieces. The bedrooms are decked out with new, modern, designer bedding and linens so they are stylish and comfortable. The "front" bedroom has a huge antique wood four poster bed. The second bedroom has more of a sleek, modern bed with original French art on the walls. In the bathroom, you will find has an authentic cast-iron clawfoot bathtub, toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and lotion. The new bath towels are plush and soft. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, stove, and microwave, as well as a toaster and blender. It also has a cute eat-in area. We have provided cooking equipment so that you can cook your meals during your stay. We also have provided you with a coffee maker and local coffee with all the fixings. Cable TV and wireless Internet are provided. We will also provide you with a guest guide of all the sublime restaurants and interesting local places you may want to visit. The house has central air conditioning and heating, which is a bonus in an old house.

I love to share the culture, food, art, and music of this city. I love to eat and travel, so naturally New Orleans is the place to be.
I have traveled to the Far East, Western Europe, various parts of Mexico, and along the Pacific. When I travel, I try not to stay in the center of tourist-heavy areas or in hotels. I like to "live like a local" when I travel. Otherwise, why leave your familiar home and surroundings?
I like to build relationships as a host. I do my very best to meet you when you arrive and to provide you with refreshments and light snacks when you get to the house. When I travel, I am always hungry! I do everything I can to make your stay as comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming as I would like when I travel so the house is furnished nicely and all the towels, etc are plush and soft. My husband and I have picked out all the art for our own home and have used the pieces to decorate the house. I truly hope you enjoy your stay.
