À propos de ce logement
#IdleWildCabin is our sanctuary from the daily grind, and it can be yours, too. Idyllwild township is a sleepy SoCal hideaway in the San Bernardino Mountains that offers great food and fun in a lush, unspoiled setting 12 months a year. Please visit us—you'll love it!
Nestled in the rocky hills and verdant foliage of San Bernardino National Forest, #IdleWildCabin is a ruggedly constructed, stylishly decorated and well appointed three-story home that's perfect for entertaining friends and family or a romantic couples getaway in the heart of Southern California's most popular mountain destination. In 2014 Idyllwild, CA was voted just that by readers of LA Weekly—a testimony to the small but vibrant town's allure. Located on a cul-de-sac road less than a mile above Idyllwild's town square, #IdleWildCabin provides guests a much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of SoCal living in its three bedrooms, two bathrooms and combined 2600+ feet of indoor/outdoor living space. At $250/night #IdleWildCabin lives in the middle price range among similarly clean, well equipped and stylishly appointed homes in the area, but our liberal check-in and checkout policies, hands-off approach to property management (you'll never see our faces unless something goes awry) and high-quality artwork, furnishings and other features make our vacation home a bargain.

The owner/managers of #IdleWildCabin live off site, but can be available in an emergency within a couple hours when we are home. Harold travels extensively for business, and Paula lives 90 minutes from the property in Murrieta, CA. Potential guests please understand: we never approve guest requests from first-time ABNB members. If you haven't stayed with at least one other ABNB host, please do so before requesting to stay in #IdleWildCabin. We also vet youth groups, college study groups, family reunions and similarly large and/or potentially raucous assemblies carefully. We've been skunked by guests who proclaimed their quiet nature and intentions too boldly in the past, so our radar is high. Thanks for your understanding.
Because #IdleWildCabin is situated on a cul-de-sac road just north of town center, it enjoys a high degree of privacy and zero traffic compared to other homes and neighborhoods in the area. The way homes in our neighborhood are situated ensures private, uncluttered views of nature surrounding the property—not the bedrooms, vehicles and kooky yard art of our really cool neighbors.
Town center is less than a mile from #IdleWildCabin, but cars are required for most travel in the area— the roads and trails are generally too steep for bicycle commuting, and no cabs are available, to the best of our knowledge.
IMPORTANT: 2 cars MAX allowed at the cabin, and both must be parked either in the driveway in front of the garage or on the side of the street at the top of the stairs. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Wood for the fireplace is available everywhere in town. If you use the fireplace, please be careful. The flue is always open, but there may or may not be wood on site from previous guests, or from our personal stash. If there's wood next to the fireplace, feel free to use it.
Humber Park has some of the best hiking in the area. Follow signs up the mountain towards the foot of Taquitz Peak for parking and trailhead.
Guests of #IdleWildCabin are asked to treat the property as if it were their own. This means trying hard to leave the cabin nicer than you found it, if that's not asking too much. Paula and I have invested considerable time and treasure to ensure comfort, convenience and safety for our guests, so all we ask is that you treat our mountain getaway with the same care and kindness you show your own home. Basic rules include:
• No pets
• Be mindful of indoor fires, including candles, fireplace and stovetop
• Be respectful of full-time neighbors by keeping nighttime noise after 9:00 p.m. to a minimum
• PLEASE READ EVERY WORD ON OUR ABNB LISTING COMPLETELY: everything is spelled out clearly
• Most importantly, have fun!
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
