Lovely, welcoming family with a beautiful secluded home but very close to Ludlow and Leominster. Beautiful walled garden with sheep, chickens, cats and dogs. Amazing cooked and continental breakfast.

We had an amazing stay at Martin & Maggies place. They welcomed us into their lovely home and we immediately felt relaxed and ready for our weekend. Their house is gorgeous and the bedroom & bathroom were very clean & comfy. The bed was extremely comfortable. They also have a couple of friendly dogs and our dog was able to stay in the kitchen with them. Martin & Maggie were super friendly and helpful and advised us of places to visit and also some nearby pubs to eat (had a fab steak at the Boot). We were also able to use the garden and sitting room. They have worked very hard on the amazing Victorian walled garden and it shows. Each morning we had a very tasty full English, with local sausages and bacon which were very good quality, coupled with freshly picked tomatoes from the garden, Martins homemade bread and Maggies handmade jam & berries from the garden. If you enjoy a good breakfast you will not be disappointed. There is certainly no shortage of places to visit nearby. We spent a lovely day in Ludlow, visiting the castle (well worth it for the £5 entrance fee), the market and some lovely cafes & pubs. We also had a walk along the river Teme. The next day we visited Croft Castle and had a very good walk (one of many on the parkland) up to Ambery viewpoint and a very nice homemade lunch in the tea rooms. We also found several other walks nearby. The surrounding area and villages are all extremely attractive and all the houses and pubs are just quintessentially British, full of character and chocolate box appearance. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Maggie & Martins place, they went out of their way to accommodate us and were very warm and welcoming. Thank you from Lindsey, Richard & Rufus

Martin and Maggie were very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My father is quite elderly and they were very helpful to make his stay an enjoyable one. It is a very characterful and roomy property with a cosy wood-burning fire that kept us lovely and cosy. Location is good, easy reach of Ludlow and there is plenty of countryside around to explore, I run most days and Maggie gave me a useful tip to try a good spot nearby at Croft Castle. It was also very handy that our miniature Schnauzer Sadie was most welcome and she played with their two dogs while there was well. Highly recommended.

This is a truly brilliant find. Rural - yes it it! Maggie and Martin are following their dream in creating this small holding, and they offered a very warm and generous welcome to their busy and beautiful home, there was an air of fun in all our communications. Our two cosy rooms were upstairs over looking the courtyard to the front of the house, and the walled garden to the back. Chickens, kittens, sheep and dogs were big attractions for the children that were with us. Inside, think huge oak doors and tables made by Martin, and flagstone floors. We did not have much time to hang out in the living room that Maggie had prepared for our use, but that must surely be an additional bonus offered through this bandb. Our hosts know the area well and were full of ideas for our day excursions. Don't miss the food markets in Ludlow and local fortified houses all around. So much on offer here - a really unique and special find.

Hi. I'm Martin, and together with my wife and daughter we run a small holding in rural Herefordshire. Having restored and transformed The Coach House into a large, comfortable and wood fuelled home, we've restored our Walled Garden, which now provides all our fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers for the table along with our home reared pork and lamb.
