À propos de ce logement

A pretty bedroom located 5 min from the metro Trosterud and 15 min to the city centre by metro. Super market is super close to the metro. This is a penthouse condo with a nice view all over Oslo and even a bit of the fiord. In the summer the balcony is amazing with sun from 2 pm until it goes down at 9 pm. Walking distance to Østmarka with hikes and a little lake where you can swim in the summer. In the winter you can ski in walking distance from my place.

Welcome to my house :)

Welcome to my house :)

My cozy place has a big balcony where you can chill in the sun (if it's here..) and also eat your breakfast in the kicthen with view all over Oslo. It is the top condo in a low building near the lake Lutvann and the forest with hike trails: Østmarka.

A private lockable room with a bed. Big window, light proof curtain. Beautiful room if I may say so myself.

Free access to kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom and toilet are separate. Shower in the bathroom.

If I'm available I'll do my best and show you the city and give information :D

I live in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in Oslo east, in the area Lutvann.

I don't live in the city centre and there are no bars, shops etc. I do have a super marked really close (at the metro station), and there's also a bakery down there.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that it's close proximity to the forest and that you can walk both to hiking trails, and you can walk for several hours out there in the beautiful forest. A 10-15 minutes walk takes you to a little lake called Lutvann. It is toilets here, so you can camp for free if you want that as well. Here you can fish (without fishing card) and take a relaxing swim or a good forest run. In the winter, you can ski.

There's a super market at the metro stop Trosterud and the alcohol sale is from 08-20 weekdays and 08-18 saturdays and closed on sundays.

In my neighbourhood you can park your car for free up to three days. I also have a garage that might be free, just ask me.

My home is a five minutes walk from the metro station Trosterud, which is the blue line 2 eastwards. This metro trip is 15 minutes ride from the city centre.

City centre is from Tøyen until Majorstua. I will explain a bit about Oslo.

One main tip: stay away from Karl Johan. This is overprized and not very special. All though this is the shopping street in front of the castle (ugly building where the king and queen waves at us at the national day 17th may). Or just do a short visit here.. Oslo has more than this.

Tøyen: a hip place with a big park and a indoor (not fancy) swimming pool. All this is close to the Munch museum at Tøyen. When you get off the sub at Tøyen, there is a really god place who serves Pizza and good beers. It is called "Postkontoret". This is a recommandation!

Grønland: has a bit of a bad rumor. I disagree with it and I love going to Grønland for pubbing and eating. Nothing else. Great pubs which are extremely close to sub (and easy to find): Dattera til Hagen (clubbing at night in weekends), Asylet, Oslo Mekaniske Verksted (really recommended, board games and take away food is ok here, chilled atmosphere).

From Grønland, it is easy to go to one of Oslos most known coziest areas: Grünerløkka! You HAVE TO GO HERE. Here are some shops, a lot of restaurants, a lot of bars, a lot of dance places all through the weekend. Just walk from Grønland T and to Brugata, then you take the street metro a couple of stops (or walk, it is a nice walk) to Grünerløkka. Here you can also find Akerselva. Along Akerselva there are some cozy places. For example Sing. A bar where you can rent a room and sing karaoke. In the summer you sit outside in the sun near the river. Recommended. For food lovers: follow Akerselva and walk up to a area called Vulkan. At Vulkan there are classy restaurants, cool pubs who also serve food - go to Smelteverket - Scandinavias longest bar). Smelteverket also have a lot of events. Go here!! I think a walk from Grønland to Vulkan is maybe 20 min. A nice walk along the river. Grünerløkka has a lot of parks (or some..). In summer people sitt and chill, drink beer in the parks and grill food.

Public drinking is not allowed in Norway, but in parks in the summer... it is ok. Don't ask...

Let's take the sub one more stop: Jernbanetorget. This is the main city centre. Here there are BIG shopping centres and easy access to everywhere. (Also Grünerløkka, just 5 min walk from Grønland) . From here you can walk to the castle and the opera (opera is really nice). To go to the castle: walk up Karl Johan. To go to the opera: ask someone, it is not far. Karl Johan has some bars though (near Nationaltheatret subway): Elsker (gaybar), John's (90s music). Karl Johan is easy accessable from all the stops: Jernbanetorget, Stortinget and Nationaltheatret. So these chapters kind of blend in.

If you want nice bars/clubbing near Jernbanetorget (Oslo S), try these places: pub street called "Strøget", 5 min walk or less. A little hidden street with food, drinks, party ing. Everything. Try also another place near by: Youngstorget. Here is a lot of people all the time. On sundays there are markeds here. Places I recommend near Youngstorget: Tilt (comic bar with shuffle board), bonanza (hidden small western bar, nice), Crowbar (beer palace with local beers, awesome place - lays in Torggata, here is also many other pubs and you are now very close to Grünerløkka and Akerselva. Just cross the river (small river...)) Near Jernbanetorget is also Oslo Bowling. Need to book in advance a lot of the time.

Let's move on to the next stop: Stortinget. This is on the middle of Karl Johan. A lot of museums near here. Ask people where "Kvadraturen" is. This is a museum district. Here you can walk to Akershus festning, an old castle with cannons and everything. A lot of nice restaurants on the way. This is not hip. This is nice and cozy. For everyone.

Nationaltheatret: very close to Stortinget. A little walk. From here: two cinemas: Saga and Klingenberg. They are both very close to the sub. From here take a walk down to Aker Brygge. This is the expensive part of Oslo. Or at least some of them. But you should go anyways, a lot of things to see and not everything is expensive. Museums here. Go to Tjuvholmen to a museum called Astrup Fearnley.

Moving on: Majorstua. Frognerparken. Every tourist go here. You have to go here to be a real tourist. Find the statue "Sinnataggen". A lot of statues here. Here you can do picnics in the summer. Here is also a tram museum open on sundays. Cinema called Colosseum.

Lillian's house is outside the centre of Oslo: however, is easy to reach with metro (10 minutes from the centre) and is not so far from the metro station (5 minutes walk). There's nothing much to say about her home, is a good apartment and Lillian gave us everything we needed for a good staying. Thanks again and hope to see you!

I am a 25 year old girl living in Oslo just making my way through life over here.

I am learning Spanish and I love it!

I work shifts with power distribution and I like sewing, partying and relaxing in good company. I do roller derby in Oslo Roller Derby so if you do derby or know someone I would love to get in touch :)

I guess my motto nowadays is something like give a stranger a pen. Cuz we are way to introvert and spend too much time with the internet, just unplug and help a stranger or your neighbour.
