À propos de ce logement
Welcome to our home in beautiful Victorian Flatbush Brooklyn
This apartment is one half of a Victorian house. The other side is also sometimes available for rent.
This apartment has 5 bedrooms (sleeps 10 in real beds), a full kitchen and 4 bathrooms. I am temporarily listing the full capacity of the house, about 16, because we have some additional vacancy coming up.
The apartment has a mix of the old and the new. It retains its beautiful hard wood floors from its construction in 1902 yet it has lovely new bathrooms, kitchen appliances, washer and dryer and skylights.
The master bedroom has its own bathroom and a laundry room with washer and dryer. The 2nd bedroom gets southern light. The 3rd bedroom overlooks the tree-lined block and the 4th is nested behind it, looking south. They share the 3rd floor with a full bathroom and shower. The 5th bedroom is a lofted space with a window and a skylight and is accessed via the 4th. There are 2 full bathrooms and two half baths.
The house has both a front porch and a rear deck overlooking the yard.

The house is located in historic Victorian Flatbush. It is on a lovely tree-lined street and nestled between the landmark mansion-filled neighborhood of Prospect Park South and beautiful Prospect Park.
The park is at the end of our block, a 3 minute walk. A 5 minute walk gets you to Lark, a great little coffee shop, 9-chains bakery, Dogwood for southern food, Wheated pizza and AM Thai, all with excellent food. A 10 minute walk gets you to Ditmas Park and Cortelyou road with its myriad of fantastic restaurants.

Around the corner are two of the best express trains in the city, the B and the Q which can take you to Manhattan in 20 minutes.
The F train is about a 10 minute walk from the house.
PARKING: Please do not park in the driveway except for briefly loading or unloading. You may find additional parking around the perimeter of the Parade Grounds which is at the north end of our street.
NOISE: Please be considerate of our neighbors and any others who may be staying in the house.
SMOKING: We do not permit smoking in the house or in the yard. It bothers the neighbors.
GARBAGE: There is no garbage disposal. Garbage goes in black bags. We may be able to stop by and collect garbage before it is due. Otherwise, garbage goes out to the curb next to the driveway on Monday night, Wednesday night and Friday night.
RECYCLING: Recycling goes in clear or blue bags. Paper goes in one bag. Metal, glass, etc. goes in another bag. The garbage trucks will issue fines if recycling is not done correctly. Recycling may only be put out on Friday night.
PLANTS: If you notice the plants complain, it would be lovely if you would give them a little water.
SAFETY: The loft stairs and decks may not be safe for young children by themselves. Please note the house exits and fire extinguishers. And, please, no open flames.
DISHES: Please leave clean dishes and remove any leftover food at the end of your stay. And, if you have the time, gathering your sheets and towels into the laundry rooms would be appreciated.

My wife and I love to travel and explore. And now that we have a toddler, we travel in a whole new manner. We live in brooklyn and have rented out our home to some lovely people. I can't recall the last time we stayed in a hotel. Meeting people and staying in their homes has been so much richer an experience.
