Two bedroom country getaway set on a large garden filled with herbs and flowers. The house is a blend of vintage, art deco and art nouveau treasures, located 2.2km from Healesvilles main town. This is a real home to rest, sleep, cook in and enjoy.

This warm and cosy country home is brimming with vintage delights in every corner – making it an ideal retreat to relax and stay in or to use as a base for exploring the beautiful surrounds of the Yarra Valley. It comfortably sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms (one with a queen sized bed and the other with two single beds).

The house is full of books, art, objects, colour and character.

Set in a tranquil location away from the hustle and bustle, but perfectly situated in between Healesville Sanctuary and the Nicholson Street town centre. Yarra Valley wineries and galleries are all within easy access by car.

Mountain views and a lush flower and bird filled garden. Look out for ibises, rosellas, cockatoos, kookaburras and bell birds.

The refrigerator is always filled with breakfast items for your first day until you get to know the town and the kitchen is amply stocked with condiments and spices.

The main Queen sized bed is firm and luxurious the two single beds are also very comfortable.

The large garden is filled with herbs, salad greens and flowers. It is inhabited by lots of butterflies and a very large variety of birdlife but hooray they are not early risers and therefore do not interrupt your morning sleep.

During our first months of listing (Dec 2015 to Feb 2016), we have a beautiful free gift box of high quality skin and body care for anyone booking for 3 nights or longer.

If you intend to do lots of sightseeing is is a good idea to call in at the Visitor Centre at the entry into town different festivals and things to do each week.

The bedding and towels are freshly laundered for your comfort.

Toiletries provided include toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, facial moisturiser, body lotion.

The main house is completely yours to enjoy. I work and reside in the rear property 50 to 60% of the time so I only ask that you leave the right hand side carspace free (and ensure your car is parked in a way not to block its access). You can still fit two cars in the main drive (and more if you drive in further towards the backyard if required).

The refrigerator is always filled with breakfast items and the kitchen is amply stocked with condiments and spices for the enthusiastic cook

There is also a healthy herb and salad garden that guests are welcome to pick from and enjoy

Please respect our neighbours and refrain from making excessive noise all within reason

This is my own home and filled with several fragile, sentimental items. Please treat the house and its contents with respect and care.

I'm available to assist with guest needs, including advice and directions on the local area as much or as little as guests desire. I will do my best to get acquainted with to do things while you are here with brochure directions etc

The Yarra Valley is best accessed and explored by car. The home is a short 2.2km drive from Healesville's main town or walk to town 25 minutes or so same distance to Healesville Sanctuary the opposite direction.

Easy access to supermarket and town centre too.

I personally work at the back of the property and reside there 50 to 60% of the time and therefore the very back of the block is no go zone although you still have a huge garden front and back at your disposal
If you decide to stay you will be delighted

Règlement intérieur

Peut ne pas convenir aux enfants (2-12 ans)
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait à partir de 15:00

There is sitting area at both front and back garden for the smokers.
The garden is your to enjoy.

The very back of the garden is no go zone as I work and reside there 50-60% of the time I spend a lot of time in Melbourne

You still have a large garden at front and back to enjoy

Rina's house is absolutely adorable! We got quite a few design and furnishing ideas over our two night stay. The kitchen is great to cook in if you feel like a night in. The gardens are beautiful and the location is great - perfect for visits to the Sanctuary, and less than a 5 minute drive to some great restaurants and other Healesville amenities. Rina is lovely, and was fantastic to communicate and coordinate with. Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed at Rina's house for a couple of days during Easter break. We loved the tastefull presentation of the vintage house, full of interesting artifacts from the past. Loved the gas fireplace and all the decorations and paintings. It was like living in a museum but with all modern conveniences. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of heaters in everyroom and the bathroom, nice toiletries, pretty linen and bath towels. Thank you for chocolates and the fruits. We enjoyed our stay !

Rina is really kind and the location is perfect near the zoo and Yarra Valley. The house is clean and we enjoyed staying there. The garden is so good but because the rain we can't sit outside, that's a pity. Anyway, thanks Rina a lot

We absolutely loved staying at Rina's house for our mini break in the Yarra Valley. As described and pictured in the information, Rina was a lovely host who met us when we arrived and ran through everything that we needed to know. This home is exactly what air bnb is about, staying in another home, not a hotel/place with no atmosphere! We loved Rinas eclectic mix of art and collectables, shower had great pressure, bed was comfy and fabulous filtered coffee in the morning! Thanks again Rina we hope to see you again! Xx

Rina was a welcoming host and was very responsive to us throughout the stay. On our arrival, she gave us a quick and thorough tour, and was happy to provide a range of recommendations for things to do in and around Healesville. Her house is cozy and comfortable, and combined with the lush garden and proximity to Healesville, it was a great location to unwind.

We arrived and were warmly welcomed by Rina who gave us a quick tour of the house and showed us how everything worked. We appreciated that she made herself available if we needed anything. After the drive from Melbourne and the introductions we made ourselves all comfy with a cup of tea in front of the fireplace and took a deep breath and instantly relaxed. This house really invites a state of relaxation and a sense of home away from home. In fact it would feel out of place if you weren't relaxing here. Thanks Rina.

Rina was a charming and attentive host. She was very generous with her provisions in the kitchen and bathroom. Felt that the house was not of a clean enough standard to receive the guests but the accomodation was cozy and filled with character. The outside of the home needs a lot of upgrading, especially the garden and could be a hazard for children. Rina did say she has plans to improve the outside. When it rained a dripping sound was coming from the roof. The host was aware of this and is planning to replace the roof. We all felt overall the experience was a positive one and we enjoyed the home and location to the beautiful Yarra Valley.
